Work well, just add zip ties to keep them fastened

I've had these for about 3 years for my snowboarding pants and they work great. And yes the first few times I used them the buckles came undone frequently. The solution is very easy though, just go to the hardware store and get the small 4-inch zip ties and zip them in place around all the buckles and cut the extra material off. Bingo! They absolutely will not flip open. Obviously if you want to use them on other pants you need to cut the zip ties off, but a bag of 100 is less than $5. Would be nice if the clamp design was better but this is a very cheap and easy fix

The clamps on the end do not grip tight enough. They kept coming loose, with two different pairs of snow pants, and with the suspenders not adjusted particularly tightly! 'Had to return them.

Far from perfect

I've had mixed luck with these suspender. There are two issues. First the plastic X thing on the back slides around too much. I did correct this by putting a safety pin in the suspender below the plastic piece. But the other issue is that the attachment points don't work that well. I use these for cycling and skiing and often after about 1 hour I find that at least one attachment point has come off. I haven't found any better options yet but I'm not sure these are worth the [$] given the hassle of regularly reattaching.

Chums Ski Suspenders

The product quality is very good, but as reviewed by the others the clasp when not stay tight without the use of zip ties as defined other customers. I actually experimented by leaving two of the suspenders without zips ties and two with zip ties. I was walking around the house with the ski pants and the clasp opened. I followed all the customers guidance and zip tied the clasp closed during a 4 day ski vacation and none of clasps came open and worked great. The product does need a redesign to lock the clasp in place, but absent a lock follow the crowd and zip tie the clasp closed.

Okay...

I use these suspenders for my motorcycling gear. They're fairly comfortable, but I wish they weren't made of stretch webbing. MC gear is heavy and non-stretch material would be better. The reason I said these are just "okay" is that the clips seem to have a hard time finding the right thickness of material to grab. I didn't want flashy colors, so black is good. Believe it or not, finding decent suspenders isn't that easy.

Comfort and reliability

I wear mine with rain pants while walking, hiking and cross country skiing. And they do the job of comfortably and reliably keeping pants from falling off. belts fail with my body “style”… I suffer with a tiny buttocks.

Better than most heavy duty suspenders

Recommend with reservations. The stretch nylon does not do a good job of holding up pants when loaded with tools or when attached to a carry belt for extra support. The stretch takes away the suspender advantage. For light use with hiking or hunting pants they are good. The clasps are better than the toothed metal found on most heavy suspenders but still require thick fabric (belt loop or fold over) to stay attached.

Terrible design- don't buy these

As others point out- the clips don't hold well, and seem to let go at random. The pastic piece at the back does not stay in place, and works its way down your back ensuring the straps will slip off your shoulders.

Holds up my pants

My Covid food baby made my ski pants a bit snug so the snap comes undone when I sit on the lift and then they start to slide off. I added some CHUMS suspenders and now I don’t care if they come unsnapped. They aren’t falling off now!

Didn't cut it

I bought them for use with shell-pants while skiing. Sturdy construction, but poorly designed. The cross-separator (in back) isn't fixed, so they kept slipping off my shoulders. In addition, the pants clasps didn't clasp very well. I wouldn't recommend this product.
