Travel companion and great for daily wear
I took the multicolored version of this belt with a T lock clasp on a two week tour of France and it performed beautifully. I’m now ordering this color in order to have a back up and more color options. It has become my daily casual dress belt since I return.

A Good Belt
The belt holds my pants up - what can I say? It does the job.
Short lifespan
This seemed like a good idea, but there is nothing at the end of loop to prevent fraying. I have had belts that were still useable after a decade, but it only took a couple of months for the end to begin to unravel to the extent that it didn't fit through the buckle anymore. Have trimmed several times, but the problem repeats. I understand that a metal clip would undo the "airplane proof" aspect, but some sort of permanent solution would be good.
5 minute buckle fight every tiime it is worn
The gate for the belt material is so narrow that the slightest snag in the material will get caught. Since the edge of nylon being forced through a buckle tends to fray, this belt requires a real struggle to put on every time. I have shaved it, melted it, tried several things but I cannot defeat this terrible design. I will be returning this.
Great belt but one issue
I really liked this belt when it first arrived, enough to order a brown on direct from Bison Designs. However, after a few weeks of wearing it one of the lead corners is already starting to fray a little bit making it hard to get through the buckle. If not for that issue I would probably give it five stars.
Defective Clasp
I really like the bison belt but this was ordered online from REI and arrived with a defective clasp. The webbed belt does not fit into the T-Lock Clasp. Paying for return shipping on a $26 belt does not make sense.
Great air travel belt
I bought the belt for air travel. It is wide and stiff enough to not curl or twist. Since it doesn't have metal there is no issue at airport screenings. The latch is easy to use and secure.
Belt customization by store clerk.
Belt is great as I own two more of this type, however the clerk who cut to my waist melted the end too much and it will not fit into the mechanism. Will have to return for a correction.
