My favorite portage belt that I’ve tried

Bought this Navy blue belt for a canoe trip (including long portages) per recommendation of an REI associate whose boyfriend now owns a couple of these belts. They are paddlers and are portaging quite a bit. My experience: breathed well, was flexible, fit perfectly with adjustments, and no chafing on my waste which is impressive considering I carry a tool belt, and a large backpack. On my previous trips, I used a wide leather belt with an average sized brass buckle and also a cloth belt with a metal buckle, and both times, I experienced chaffing. I knew I wanted a cloth belt that was fairly wide enough to keep my pants in place around my waste but also that could withstand the forces from my wastestrap on my pack. This belt takes the cake for sure. I did camp in cool weather 60s/70s so I can’t speak for breath ability in hot weather but I can say that the belt did not bother me with a light perspiration. I can say that I am writing this review only after 6days of wearing but I don’t see any evidence of damage or freeing. One thing that’s annoying is that the belt fired t have the uY

Don’t forget your belt

It’s a belt. I was traveling and forgot to pack a belt, so I bought this one. Arcade makes good belts. Four stars because it’s $35 for a poly belt, which is kind of ridiculous. But it’s a good belt. YMMV

Good stretchy belt

I couldn’t find my stretchy belt so bought this. It doesn’t stretch as much. It’s one size but I have to have it all the way extended. I’m round, but not real big. Still deciding if I will keep it since I fount my other belt.

I love this belt!

I was hoping to buy a new belt that was thick and would give good support for my hiking pants. This belt has never failed to disappoint me and I love the patterns!
