Brooks W High Point Waterproof Jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fact that my husband stole my jacket for his runs speaks volumes. Having bright colors for visibility is important for our early morning runs, and being a light layer is important for easily adding on to the usual gear when you realize its windy or raining. I didn't realize before this jacket how important the wrist or face fit is for running in the chill, wind and rain. Although the sizing runs small, the jacket performs as multiple layers so you don't have to wear much underneath it. Breathable yet airtight is something I couldn't describe any of my other jackets as, but it's the best way I can describe this one. I will definitely be buying more of these but just sizing up for my preference in length and chest fit. Knowing Brooks quality I'm sure this will be in my (and apparently my husband's) rotation for years to come.
Highpoint Waterproof Jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love this jacket. I wore a large and it fit ok with just a shirt under it. I ran during a pretty good rainstorm and couldn't tell if I was wet from the rain or from the fact that the jacket was not at all breathable. Pockets would be a good addition since I had no place to put anything. I did like how the sleeves fit at the wrists. A good idea would be to have a clear area so you could see your watch.
The High Point Jacket is seriously on point!
Let me start by saying that this waterproof jacket is truly 100% waterproof! I used it during a snow/hail storm yesterday and it worked fantastically! I love how breathable this jacket is! The built-in cap hood is another fun feature. If you purchase the pink jacket like I did, you are sure to be seen!
Love the color!! So comfortable.
Overall I love this jacket. It’s soooo comfortable to run in. I’m usually a size small but ordered a medium for a little more mobility. I wore this jacket on a 16mile run and yes it’s waterproof but my undershirts were drenched in sweat, it can get really hot so be careful when layering.
Not gonna lie- I love this jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, I did NOT anticipate how much I would love this jacket. When it's cool and rainy I choose this jacket as my outer layer every time. Once spring roles around again it'll be back in my daily rotation, even when I'm not running. Here's why: 1. Super lightweight and breathable with lots of subtle vents 2. The material is both waterproof AND impressively stretchy 3. The hood stays up when I run (I still find running in a hood awkward but I can when I wan to with this jacket) 4. Sizing is good with an adjustable waist 5. No unnecessary liner or pockets- a perfectly simple outer layer 6. Did I mention wonderfully waterproof?? (see attached photo- I let water sit on the jacket for 30 minutes before taking the picture and you can see that the jacket hasn't absorbed any of the moisture) Honestly, I wouldn't change a thing about this jacket. Maybe offer more colors? I'd have no hesitations in recommending it to a friend looking for a perfect lightweight outer layer for outdoor exercise of any type!!
Waterside Runner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have really enjoyed this jacket. I loved the colors and believe they help to make you more visible if running at dawn or dusk. The material was soft but lightweight. I have had other materials that feel more stiff and this lets me move with ease. The hood could use a little more adjustments. I felt it rubbed my head/forehead area more than I would have liked but not unbearable. Depending on your neck size and head size this could be a little more uncomfortable or not bothersome. Overall, I really like the colors and style of the jacket and the fabric is very comfortable.
Lightweight, breathable, and just right
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so excited about this jacket. I run multiple times throughout the week and this jacket is perfect. It's extremely lightweight, flexible, and very comfortable. When I run, I usually start feeling cold, however eventually warming up. I tried wearing this jacket to keep some insulation during my runs, and it's fantastic. I don't feel overheated and it's just enough coverage. There's a back support that's seems very minimal but it helps to keep my back in good posture. It is similar to the backing of a sports bra. I wear this in an XS. I was worried it would be a bit confined, however there's still a lot of room and fits very well. I appreciate the bright colors so it's easy to get spotted when running outside. The zipper is smooth and the snaps to keep you enclosed are a great touch. I appreciate that the hood has a small visor so it also helps with sun protection for your face. The drawstrings at the bottom part of the jacket are great especially if you want to reduce any friction while running. This is so worth it and I cannot wait to wear it again for my next run later today.
Great Waterproof Jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been pleasantly surprised but this jacket, I was impressed with the intentional design details, not only is it really functional, it's also cute! I'm not currently training for a big run but I've used this jacket in short casual runs and a sprint workout. I live in a part of the country that's cold and typically really rainy. Pros: The fit and length of the arms are really nice, there is an elastic synch at the inside of the wrist that allows for movement but is fitted enough to keep the rain out. The hood has a similar synch in the back as well that helps it stay on to keep the rain off and a bit of a brim in the front that keeps the rain out of my eyes and allows for a headlamp. If you get hot while running there are a couple snaps under the zipper that allows for more airflow without having the sides of the jacket flapping. There's overall great airflow through the jacket. The color design is the jacket was thoughtful, not only is it appealing but it has orange on the back to make it very visible while still being tasteful enough to wear out running errands after a workout. The only thing I wasn't a fan of is that it felt a little short on my torso. Overall, a great jacket and one I will continue to rotate through with my workout gear, especially in raining days.
Comfortable and light jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The W High Point Waterproof Jacket in the Light Slate/Bright Orange/Aegean color looks amazing. The colors are bright without being overly flashy and easy for cars and people to spot you which is important when you're hiking or running outside. I'm 5'1 and 110 lbs and the size XS fits me well. The jacket is fitted without being too tight and it's easy for me to move around in. The material is smooth and sturdy and holds up well after being in the washing machine (I have not tried drying it yet). The jacket is also the perfect length on me despite being only 5'1, so I can imagine this might feel a bit too short for those who are taller. The sleeves were long on me as expected. I love that this jacket has a hood that actually stays on while running. It is also really waterproof! It has not rained yet so I haven't worn this during rainy weather - but I did try putting water on the sleeves and the water droplets slide right off! The jacket feels breathable and the vents help, however I feel that it's not the *most* breathable jacket. I still felt a bit warm but I do get hot easily and wore long sleeve layers. This jacket is probably best to wear running in cool (and rainy) weather and you can layer accordingly. Overall, the W High Point Waterproof Jacket is a great jacket and looks and feels high quality. I love how lightweight it is and so compact when you fold it up. It can easily fit in your bag and doesn't take up a lot of space. I removed a star because there are no pockets - please add pockets!
Compact, light weight, keeps me dry!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is wonderful. The material and quality is top notch. It is very comfortable to wear and does not restrict movement or make annoying rubbing sounds when moving. I was so surprised how well it kept me dry, and vented so that I didn’t get clammy inside. The hoods/visors on other rain jackets haven’t really worked well for me in the past, but this one is amazing. It was snug, didn’t fall in my face and kept its shape to help divert the rain. I love how light weight and compact it is. There have been a few times where I’ve just tucked it in my purse just in case it rained so that I didn’t have to haul around an umbrella. The colors are lovely and the feel of the material is so soft. Definitely the best rain and running jacket I’ve ever had.
