[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I Love this jacket. This is the second one of the Lay Down D jackets that I have purchased. There was a wind chill of below zero today and my upper body was warm and cozy. I also love the teal blue color. The only thing I am not crazy about is the Velcro closures on the wrists. The Velcro doesn’t go all the way across the straps so the ends of the wrist cinch straps stick up in a weird way They should make the Velcro longer so that lays down flat. It has almost a full inch at the end of the strap with no Velcro, but it is a minor inconvenience.
I am 5’6’’ and about to 128 pounds. My Patagonia jacket was looking a little shabby so I wanted a jacket with more structure and warmth for my daily dog walk in the PNW. This coat is fitted so I wear a wool base layer or a cashmere sweater under it. I bought a medium but think a large would be fine as well - just roomier. I got the teal green color. Love the hood - plenty of room to wear a hat underneath. I don’t think I’ll spend $$$ on patagonia jackets any longer. They don’t hold up well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this coat online at the end of the year sale for an amazing deal. This coat far exceeded my expectations. It’s heavier than it looks, especially for being down. I got one for my daughter and when it came in the mail my fiancé saw it and tried it on. We immediately ordered her one as well. Five stars highly recommend.
Nice Snow jacket. Great price but a little bulky and stiff for my liking which felt constrictive . The fabric had a crunch to it which I also didn’t care for. Returned for a more user friendly (Obermeyer).
