Perfect for me
There’s been times when I bought some thing in five years later think, I wish I’d gotten about three more of these. This coat is an example of that, and I actually purchased a second one for this very reason. I love the basic colors (I bought the navy first and a couple months later, but the green), large pockets, and the length is so nice. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase.
Cozy, comfy, cheerful
I really love this jacket. It’s so comfy. I wish the pockets zipped, but still love it. It doesn’t have a lot of insulation but seems to break the wind nicely and retain body heat. I wore if in some pretty cold weather (January in Chicago) with a warm sweater underneath and I was OK. Also, people seem to be smiling at me more than when I wear my black coat, lol. I guess it’s cheerful!
sizing is a bit off
great quality, but sizing is a bit off - long sleeves and big shoulders. I'm 5'2" and 100lbs - XS is too bulky on me, had a blue one - great color!
Warm and comfortable
Love the jacket with room to layer underneath. Wish the pockets had a horizontal top opening or a zipper close so as not to worry about items falling out.
Patagonia Women’s Diamond Quilted Coat
Sometimes a person just needs a warm long coat that isn’t a raincoat, and this one worked for me….thinner and sturdier than many of the puffy coats, but warm with plenty of room for layering. I got the brick colored one as it complimented some of my other clothes and my own features. The other available colors are beautiful too. The pockets and adjustable hood are nice features. Reminds me of a barn coat, or the movie “Legends of the Fall”, lol.
Want to love it
I want to love this coat because it’s so hard for me to find a coat that fits over my hips, but the sleeves are huge as noted by others and the zipper doesn’t come up very far in the front so even with my heaviest scarves, I have cold air entering around my neck. I just bought but am likely to return now that I wore it around the house some.
Great if you have long arms?
The sizing seems off. I’m 5’7” and roughly 150 lbs and ordered a medium, which was roomy enough to fit a fleece or heavy sweater underneath. The arms were way too roomy, kind of ballooning past the elbow and stretching down nearly to my fingertips. Unfortunately, I will be returning.
Give it a Chance!
I sometimes size up in Patagonia. Based on reviews of running large I went with normal coat size of M with this. It did feel large at first so also tried a S but ended up sticking with M. I think it just felt very stiff at first and once I washed it, it felt
