Warm, Thoughtful Design, but Not the Most Packable
This jacket is impressively warm and comfortable with smart, useful features like a two way zipper for easy venting and adjusting fit when sitting or moving, a generous zippered chest pocket that easily fits a phone and more, an adjustable hood, and long sleeves that fully cover the wrists—even on someone 6' tall. It blocks wind well and has kept me dry in light rain, though I can't speak to heavier moisture. The main drawback is its weight and bulk. It’s not very packable, so it would less ideal for travel or camping when space is limited. Overall, it’s a great everyday cold‑weather jacket if warmth and comfort matter more to you than compressibility.
A beast!
This coat is a beast! It makes me think of the nano puff version of my old barn coat. Seems like it will stand up to anything you throw at it and more! Sadly had to return it because I travel full time in a van and just don't have the space to keep it, darn! Would keep it in a heartbeat if I lived in a house. Note that it's nothing like a normal nano puff like I thought it would be -- it's like a whole new jacket.
Warm and Light
I bought this as a primary jacket for Michigan winters. Thus far it has surpassed my expectation. Kept me warm with a t shirt underneath in high 20s.
A bit big
I’ve slimmed down, but usually Patagonia medium sizes fit pretty snug. I had to double check the size on this (and another Patagonia shirt I bought in the same order). Both seem more like size Large. My older Patagonia items in size M still fit more snug. Anyway, I think I’m going to return this - just a bit bigger and bulkier than I was expecting. It does seem like it would keep a person quite warm though.
Longggg sleeves
Many aspects of this jacket seem great obviously much warmer than the nano puff and very convenient phone pocket on the outside. Nice quality. Patagonia brand is sizing seems to have changed, everything new is made for someone much much bigger than taller. My old green nano puff fits perfectly and is a great length for my petite body as well as my better sweater fleece. Everything that I have purchased recently or new is gigantic. I don’t know if they’ve changed something about their sizing, but this is an unfortunately great case in point. The sleeves on this jacket are comically long, reaching my fingertips and the body of the jacket. It’s quite boxy large and extends past to my butt. I ordered a woman’s small. I revert to kid sizes in this brand, but they don’t have this particular jacket in kids and it’s also can be somewhat difficult to find a kids size that accommodates a woman’s chest. Patagonia, PLEASE consider offering women’s petite sizes!
Beautiful and warm, light jacket
Lightweight, soft, warm and a beautiful green. It’s warm enough for Buffalo winters!
Comfy, cozy warm!
Just got this jacket and absolutely love it! Looks good, great fit and so warm.
