How to Choose a Bike Helmet

Providing a blast of fresh air, the Giro Artex Mips bike helmet lets cool air flow in and hot, stale air expel out. The road race-inspired design is compact with deep coverage and a removable visor.

The helmet is comfortable and snug, and the chin strap adjusts nicely. Unfortunately the removable visor comes off way too easily. After just a week of wearing the helmet, the visor has fallen off multiple times and is now missing. I wish there was a way to secure it in place so it only comes off if you want it to (and, in my case, a replacement visor would be great in the meantime!).
It’s light weight w/ lots of ventilation and fits great. As a heavy sweater and long rider, I sometimes forget that it’s there. The visor is versatile and comes off easily if you don’t need it. I haven’t had any issues w/ it falling off either, as long as it attached correctly. The straps are easy to adjust and I’ve had no issues w/ irritation. I was able to get this on sale at a great price. But it would have been a smart purchase either way!
