As someone who’s been running recreationally and usually logging 10-15 miles a week, the Salomon Aero Glide 3 GRVL has quickly become one of my favorite pairs. Right out of the box, they felt amazing with no break-in needed. I actually set a new PR on my first run with them, which says a lot! The fit is just right: snug and secure without being too tight and super easy to slip on and go. The cushioning is like running on clouds, it’s got a responsive rebound that makes every stride feel fluid and smooth. After a couple of months, the cushioning still feels just as good as day one. From long runs to easy recovery miles, they’ve performed great on all terrain (both road and trail). They’re breathable, durable and provide consistent stability, even on uneven surfaces. Lastly, they’re as stylish as they are comfortable. I’ve gotten plenty of compliments wearing them and the color way gets noticed everywhere I go! In conclusion, the Aero Glide 3 GRVL is the kind of shoe that makes you look forward to your next run, whether it’s a long grind or an easy recovery jog.
When I go to the shoe cupboard I’m automatically grabbing these. Super cush, soft upper and solid enough grip for most conditions. When transitioning from roads to trail, these eat it all up with that all day comfort. I’ve noticed such a positive difference in how my legs feel with high volume. Highly recommended for lighter trails and road.
Received these at LA members weekend and already logged 30 miles or so on them on various terrain (asphalt, gravel, trails, beach). They are extremely comfortable with a massive stack height, and appear durable while being relatively light weight. They are awesome on asphalt and dry, simple trails, I plan to log hundreds of miles in these!
Very very comfortable for long distance walking Salomon are on the right track, I've put approximately 130 miles on them in a few weeks including one 30 mile section with an equal mix of grass, gravel and tarmac . Probably the most comfortable shoe (soft) I've ever warn, definitely not for technical routes though. For the price the insoles is very cheap and I've had to replace it already as it caused a couple of issues. Verdict is still out on the durability as the small lugs on the sole are already disappearing. A little narrow for me to be honest but then I do have wide feet ( Salomon please make a wide version) I may try a size up in the future. A definite competitor for hoka and altar alternatives.
Super comfy. The foam is amazingly responsive while also being very comfortable. Going from gravel to concrete seamless and the ligs aren't super noticeable. Took it on technical terrain and it did well too.
The best part of this shoe for me is the cushioning, I have tried a lot of road shoes in my time but this feels as good or better than any other cushioned road shoe I have tried before, the foam is on another level. It's not designed as a fast shoe but I definitely feel response in it too and use it regularly for speed sessions. The gravel outsole just makes this the perfect shoe for so many runs, especially for me who is a trail runner who likes to deviate half way through my road runs. It feels a bit more durable than your average road shoe too which is a bonus for me.
This is my second foray at a high stack runner after rejecting the brand that pioneered the trend. These shoes are exceptionally comfortable out of the box and are perfect for our local dirt/gravel roads. These shoes have more room in the toebox than my old SOC that carried me through 600 miles of running, walking and jogging on mixed surfaces over several continents. No regrets with these Aero Glide 3 GRVLs and will likely pick up the pavement version too. It's interesting to see Salomon get on the GRVL bandwagon after the cycling industry created it. Well done S!
I bought these last month. Little sceptical when switching brand usually run in brooks but wanted something for light trails and the tarmac on the way. Delivery was hopeless ridiculous long wait of 3 weeks. Lots of manufacturers offer a 30day trial return if not happy this would have definitely helped me make the decision to purchase. Lucky for me the are a good fit, nicely cushioned on tarmac and a good grip on light trails yet to try on muddy lane sure it will come. Overall nice shoe a little soft to be fast but for training easy miles the cushion is great.
I bought these the other day, and boy am I happy! I live about 4 miles from some pretty epic hard pack singletrack that I typically like to run on pavement to. The problem with my road runners, is that as soon as I hit the dirt, my confidence goes way down due to lack of grip. Having a gravel bike background, I am sold on this “gravel” style shoe! Just enough grip on tame dirt trails, and smooth on the pavement! I ran 16 miles my first run with them, and they were comfortable the whole time. No need to break them in.
I typically run in my Speedcross shoes but a recent knee issue required that I "land softer" so I purchased these. I'm using the Aero Glide 3 GRVL on trails and occasionally pavement. The traction has been better that expected on trails, except for very steep and loose rotten rock stuff where the Speedcross would give more bite. I appreciate how comfortable these are and give similar arch support as the Speedcross. The best part is, I can run farther on these and that soft cushioned landing protects my knees. Thanks Salomon for another quality shoe.
