The Aero Blaze 3 is that rare shoe everyone ends up loving. I use it for everything—easy miles, tempo efforts, long aerobic runs—and it handles all of it without feeling out of place. The rocker geometry is elite: smooth, quick, and effortless when you settle into pace. The cushioning feels balanced and protective, and the overall ride is so good that nearly all my training partners have picked up a pair after trying mine. This is one of those shoes you can build your whole week around. Honestly might order a couple more just to have backups!!
This was my first time using a Salomon product and I am beyond excited for where they are headed within road running. My first impression centered around how light the shoes felt. Very simple shoe, but they get the job done and felt great at a variety of paces. I also really enjoyed walking around in them in addition to my runs. My only updates that I would like to see are more of a personal preference- more support in the midfoot upper, a slightly wider forefoot, and more color blocking in the upper and color in the midsole :) This shoe has been so fun to use- I’ve got 25 miles on them in my first week. Lastly, I’m curious about the durability as so far the rubber seems okay, but the exposed midsole seems to have slightly more wear than I would expect. One of my favorite shoes this year!!!
After many years wearing Asics, I decided to test the French‑inspired Salomon Aero Blaze 3 — and the results are outstanding. Lightweight engineered mesh, responsive Energy Foam midsole, and precision fit deliver comfort support and grip. Salomon’s design innovation makes for an amazing experience!
These shoes at first feel light and comfortable to walk around at the running shop. However, after run in a nearby park on a variety of surfaces at warm- up, progressive efforts and cool down, they are not for me. They are too soft. The cushion makes the shoe unstable. I do not recommend these.
I have been running in these for a few weeks now, they are very comfortable but too soft for my liking, would classify them as highly cushioned rather than the "moderate" listed in the product description.
I've only had days for a couple of days, but they are extremely comfortable right out of the box. Very light and breathable, it's nice that somebody makes a narrow shoe for somebody with a narrow foot.
I have run about 50 miles in these, and they are very light and at the same time have a lot of cushion. They also seem to have formed into the shape of my foot without a lot of miles put on them.
Upper: The material that the upper is constructed from is breathable and holds up super well. I have pretty narrow feet, and I find myself having to cinch the upper down pretty tight to get a good lock down. That's good news for folks with wider feet who have had trouble fitting into Salomon shoes that have been traditionally a more narrow-footed shoe. The only issue that I had with these shoes (as with a few other shoes on the aero line) is the evenness of the lockdown. The laces are a bit rigid and don't distribute tension well across the top of the foot. I frequently end up with too much tightness across the top of my foot near the ankle or too much tightness across the middle of the foot. I suspect that this issue could be easily corrected with some more supple laces or a slightly improved lacing system. Midsole: This is where the blaze 3 really shines in my opinion. The energy foam used in this shoe and across the rest of the aero line is some of the best foam on the market right now. The responsiveness that you get from the midsole does not fade over time like other short-distance road shoes. It's impressively high quality and long lasting. Outsole: When other brands tend to limit rubber for the sake of shoe weight, the blaze 3 goes the opposite direction seemingly without sacrificing the light weight package of the shoe. Near complete rubber with great grip across the bottom of the shoe makes this shoe just as fast on wet, slimy roads as it is on a dry track. In short, the Blaze 3 is a solid short distance tempo trainer with a responsive midsole and long lasting outsole.
