This pants are truly fantastic. I have owned Prana jackets, but this is my first pair of pants. I am 6'1, 25lbs. I usually wear 36x32 pant size, the ones I got are size L. They are a little longer than I expected them to be. They are breathable and comfortable for everyday wear. I took them one small hike and they were okay. I mostly wore them for running errands with my kids and they feel perfect through the day. The back pockets are too large and baggy for my liking, but i guess they are fine. The front pockets are big as well, but they are a good size; they are also reinforced at the seam where then pocket meets the pant. There is also a concealed zippered pocket on the right side. It is big enough for a car key but not much else. There is a pull tab on the bottom of the legs, but I did not find a need to pull it in. I am buying a second pair in the charcoal color.
I tried these in store and loved the mobility. When buying pants, I do a full squat to grade the mobility and these were excellent. I'm 6'1", 160 lbs, and size S was best. They look decent too, and have just the right amount of pockets to be useful. The zippered pocket in the right front is nice too. I'm concerned about long-term durability due to some questionable design choices: -The stitching quality seems questionable in some spots especially along the crotch and the inner thigh. When sitting cross-legged the crotch stitches are really being stretched and look like they'll rip out soon(see pictures). Similarly, the inner thigh stitch seam does the same thing. If they had simply used the same stitch pattern that is used on the crotch gusset it likely wouldn't be a problem. - On the bottom of the front pocket, there is a separate piece of fabric which creates a squared off edge. All this seems to do is increase the chance of something getting caught on this edge of fabric and ripping it off - This almost happened when I took off a small backpack and one of the buckles snagged on this piece of horizontal fabric. Again, it seems like this could've simply been avoided by continuing the double stitched edge of the pocket opening instead of adding this separate little patch of fabric. It looks like an afterthought. An afterthought that increases the chance of issues (see pictures). Overall, still a nice pant, but these design choices make me question how long until something rips on these pants.
I am super impressed with these prAna pants. I am new to the brand, and was curious to see whether they were the real deal or just a fad. After wearing them around the house and on hikes for a several days, they’ve won me over. I’ll summarize four pros and leave you with one con. First, my favorite part of these pants is the fabric itself, which is tough enough to withstand the briars of a hike, but also somehow soft enough to become my new around-the-house cozy pants. Second, I like that the pockets are sewn outside the pants (sturdier and less rubbing) and that the front pockets are extra deep. Third, the cuff of the pants has an adjustable elastic band so you can tighten the pants around your ankle. This is nice for keeping the pants off bike chains, and I like the style of having some baggy-ness around my calf. Finally, I’ve washed these pants and found them impossible to wrinkle. For cons, the only downside I’ve found is that these pants are not very warm. While this can be a pro for those who are warm-blooded, I tend to only wear pants on hikes if it is already quite cold out. So these will remain my 2-season pants (spring and fall). Altogether, I really highly recommend these pants!
I’m a big guy (5’11” 265) and typically wear 44/30 pants. The XXL/30 fit my hips/waist and large seat/thighs very well, with a little room to spare. To be clear, they’re not baggy, just not constrictive. I have 4 out 5 stars because they really are not tapered, which I was looking for. Definitely a full straight leg, so my legs look like big tree trunks all the way down - c’est la vie. Not my favorite active/all-purpose pants, but I like the fit and quality, making them a regular staple of my active/weekend wardrobe.
These are some of the most comfortable pants I have bought recently. They are comfortable enough to lounge in, but work well in the outdoors as well. I typically wear a 31 waist in pants and the small/30in inseam fit perfect. Definitely pay attention to Prana's pant size ranges, and you'll be good.
I love these pants so much this is my second pair in a different color. I ordered a M, 34 and I’m 140#, 6’ female, and wanted a professional and comfortable look with a loose fit. These pants hit the mark perfectly.
Love these pants. Nicely tailored. Flattering cut. Doesn’t require a belt. Those are the good points. Two negatives: they don’t have a fly for us guys and they are double the cost of REI pants
Bought these for hiking and rock climbing. These fit extremely well and are very comfortable. Lots of pockets for tools. Well insulated but still very breathable.
The best pants you will ever buy I love them so much
