Like most boot manufacturers, the performance gets nerfed once you slap an HV label on the boot. For some unexplainable reason, people with wider feet are willing to sacrifice performance? The Mach 130HV (1 step up from the 120) offers a better liner and stiffer shell, but the toe box on that boot drops down to MV width despite the HV label. The 120HV is a little soft in the flex department, but can be fixed with the additional purchase of carbon T-plates from the 130. One benefit in purchasing a Technica boot is that there is actual post-sale support and various parts are actually available for sale on their US site. Most manufacturers (looking at you Atomic) barely make enough aftermarket parts for a one-year support window.
