I tried the hurricanes on at REI and was amazed at how comfortable and stable they felt. I opted not to purchase them due to the light color, but I see they have an all black version in men’s so I’ll most likely purchase those. Being 54 years old, having had a knee reconstructed, and a history of plantar fasciitis and sciatica post surgery, I feel like these shoes are designed for people that need relief from pain as well as a supportive, comfortable shoe. I did notice that they were wider in the toes, which for me is great because I need more room for my toes these days. My feet have changed as I’ve gotten older. I’ve gone from a size 11 women’s, normal width to a size 11 1/2 wide. These shoes fit perfectly with room to spare in the toes in my original size 11.
These shoes are really growing on me. The cushioning is awesome and they're extremely stable. First looking at them, you would think they'd feel slightly wobbly since the platform is so high. However, I never feel wobbly (like I'm going to roll an ankle in these) since the platform is flat all across the bottom. I ordered a Women's US size 10 because that's the size I usually get. They fit and my toes don't feel squished, but I feel like the heel cup is a little too short and I probably would be happier in a 10.5 with the arch a little further forward. I'm kind of disappointed I didn't figure this out before I started wearing them outside. I think these could be really good in the right size so check your sizing before you commit because they're not cheap. The color selection is also surprisingly pretty good. I have the blue and orange ones--it's like a slate blue which is kind of pretty.
Thanks for sharing your feedback!
I just purchased my 7th pair. I will never wear anything else than the hurricanes. They’re so comfortable they give a huge amount of stability. When I’m walking downhill my feet don’t slide in the shoe .
Thanks Nikki!
It’s not true to size it caned a slightly bigger than my true size but the design and platform was really nice and comfortable
Thanks for sharing Mona!
I was very excited about the return of the Hurricanes. The good: great stability and excellent cushioning. They really do feel like walking on clouds. The bad: after wearing the shoes for two months the tongues started folding at the edges deep inside the shoe, creating discomfort on the top of the foot. A hole also appeared in the material and foam covering the heel inside the shoe. This exposes the harder material inside and causes heel blisters. I’ll have to replace the shoes, but after only two months of wear, it won’t be with a Saucony product.
I have worn Hurricaines since the Hurricaine 9s came out. Two years ago I bought 4 pair of Hurricaine 23s. I am so disappointed with the Hurricaine 24s that I sent all 3 pair back. The first pair sqeaked when I just stood in one place and rocked back and forth. The second 2 pair made so much noise when I walked even with medical shoe covers on that I couldn't standit. I don't know if it is the big heel (whichI didn't like) or the tunnel under the shoe. I love my Hurricaine 23s and I am on my last pair. I am a physician, on my feet all day in the hospital. I cannot have noisy shoes. Please make the Hurricaine 25s like the 23s.

I absolutely loved the women's Hurricane 23, but am very disappointed with the new Hurricane 24 version. The amount of bounce and cushion was perfect in the 23, but too much in the heel are in the 24. My heel sinks down to where it is extremely unlevel with the rest of my foot. This seriously low heel drop made the back of my legs ache almost immediately. I had to return them and feel really sad because I have feet problems and they were the only shoe so far that helped a lot. I wish companies wouldn't change a good thing. I tried the Tempus 2 version, and they are okay but not near and springy and comfortable as the Hurricane 23.
We appreciate your feedback Erica.
My first Saucony purchase ( 2019 ) was the Hurricane 23. I tried on several brands and styles, the Hurricane 23 had support, good arch support and the main reason was the spring in the heel that gave me a push as I walked/ran. After I bought my first pair a week later I bought a second pair. I have since purchased 3 different styles and none compare the Hurricane 23. I still occasionally wear my original 2. There’s a saying, “ If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”! That’s how I feel about my first pair of Sauconys!
Comfort seekers, this might be the one! Running though, is a tad different story. What the Hurricane 24 reminds me of is a big plate of mashed potatoes (with extra gravy). While the shoe excels for casual use (seriously, so comfortable), it falls short on the run. On the run, every stride becomes more difficult than the last, and at the end of a 5 mile run, you feel like you just ran the entire 26.2. The squishy sole is reminiscent of thanksgiving potatoes, as it squishes and sloshes between your arch and toes, stealing all your energy. Soft yes. Too soft? Definitely. Stability? Not so much. This might work for someone 130lbs, but not so much for a 210lb runner like myself.
These shoes are the most comfortable athletic shoes I've ever worn. I'm a walker, not a runner, with incredibly sensitive painful feet. I have peripheral neuropathy, not the kind where your feet are numb, my feet feel everything x10. I've bought so many shoes and returned them it's embarrassing. My heel is slipping a bit but I ended up buying a Men's 10 instead of the Women's 11.5. I love all black shoes and it seems like Saucony doesn't offer them in Women's sizes. That would be my only complaint, I don't wear shoes with white soles. Please Saucony, women like black shoes too, we can wear them with anything!
