[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lightray provides great wind resistance, is warm, and incredibly lightweight for an insulated and waterproof ski jacket. Longtime Marmot user and this jacket appears as high quality as previous Marmot items used on the slopes. Yet to try out in wet snow/drizzle conditions yet, but certainly is a great performer in single digit temps. 5'8", 150 lbs and size S fits perfectly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the yellow/greenish and tan/grayish version and it fits perfectly. Walked through the rain three times at this point and it's solidly waterproof. Plentiful pockets and the ones for the hands and toasty. Best part of this jacket is the brightness as I walked the dogs in it. Overall, worth the money I paid, and it was on sale.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lighter and warmer than expected and a huge improvement over the last ski jacket (15 years old). Fit is roomy enough to move while being snug enough to prevent drafts. Only missing feature is a strap or other connection between the jacket and matching pants. Solved with the addition of a belt, but I wish they would connect.
I purchased this from the Outlet for about half the list price. Overall, I am very satisfied with it. The Hazel color (not sure if this is still available or discontinued) is a dark yellow mustard color. The jacket seems warm and has Goretex waterproofing. It is quite puffy and is not very noisy. I hear a little crinkling when putting it on but once it is on it is quiet. Loads of pockets! There are zippered pockets on the outside near the waist. These fit my bulky winter gloves but not much else. There is a large zippered outer pocket in the chest area on the left, and this fits my large phone and a few other items. Another chest level pocket is inside on the right side. Finally, there is a very large mesh pocket inside on the left and this fits my wool headband with room for other items. The only problems I have had so far: the main zipper takes some effort to catch from the bottom where it begins, and the very large hood hangs over my face but cannot be held down (no drawstring). Wearing a baseball cap might help with that.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great jacket for the winter months. Keeps me warm when its 30 degrees F out with a basic mid layer underneath. Has held up to wind, rain and snow.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing coat for an amazing value! Struggled to find an insulated Gore-Tex coat that was within my price range. This knocked it out of the park
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall a nice mid weight jacket. Only complaint is the lining isn’t attached to the outer shell too well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks better than picture and waterproof. Great price when it’s on sale.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] fully loaded, solid finish, good style, at a very cheap price!
