I’m a long term Salomon fan and have been impressed with the quality and fit of the their ski boots, hiking boots, and trail running shoes. I was looking for a mid height boot with good ankle support and light weight. These seemed to check all the boxes. After a few two to ten mile hikes over varying terrain, I was impressed with their grip, cushioning and comfort. However, when I took them on a five mile hike in moderate rain, they failed the water proof test. So, if you don’t plan on getting them wet, a big thumbs up. However, if you need them to truly be waterproof, opt for the other Salomon’s that utilize the brand name Gore-Tex.
The rivet fell off the first time wearing it. Didn’t even last an hour. Very poor quality, avoid this shoe.
I wore these books out of the box for a 10 mile hike in the Maine woods. I have never done that so i was a little concerned. However, the boots were very comfortable right out of the box. I did not get into any really wet conditions so i cannot commet on their waterproofness. My only concern/complaint is that there is a thin piece of leather behind the toe rand. I caught my toe on a root and put a small tear into it. It does not affect the boot's performance but think this part of the boot should be beefier. Very satisfied so far but the proof will be in the waterproofness.
I've worn Salmon shoes for years and have always been satisfied with them. Although I don't have a lot of miles yet in these boots, I'm expecting good performance. They were comfortable right out of the box and felt very good. The first day that I wore them was on a trail maintenance day. I made sure that I stood in water to test the waterproof ability. They held up perfectly! My feet stayed dry. I'll update after some snowshoeing this winter.
In one trip packing out a moose in alaska these shoes got completely soaked just from the rain (they absorbed water like a sponge) and one of them got cut open just from walking through the alders they are great for light work? Work shoes, I would not recommend for anything serious.

It is a pleasant experience to walk and ride on trails for several days in a row, they are very comfortable, light and work great on the trail and in the city. Excellent option and a great color and look.
I wear these daily for work boots in HVAC. Mostly doing service/repairs along with some installation. I had the Salomon X Ultra 4 mids before this. These (Ultra 360's) are a bit more boot feeling, the Ultra 4's felt a bit lighter and less bulky. On the positive side though, the Ultra 360's feel more cushioned and are a lot more snug and form-fitting to my feet. My only complaint with these so far are the laces. They come untied numerous times throughout the day. A pretty easy fix...just buy some different laces, but still worth noting.
I bought these shoes with the intent of going up and down aggressive, terrain walking on unstable rock and gravel with ease and comfort. It has met all my expectations and is very lightweight and comfortable. I do recommend that if you do have a wide foot that you order one size bigger, the shoe fits perfectly to your size Of your feet so if you’re looking for a little wiggle room to apply a wool socks, adjust accordingly other than that I would recommend it, and I actually did recommend it and one of my partners bought a pair
The pair I got is spacious at the toes, tight from the sides, and lose at the ankle. This makes my ankles slide up and down inside when I walk around. My wife bought a pair of these too, and she's saying something similar about hers (except that its not tight otherwise). I still have a pair from 10 years ago (its goretex though) that doesn't have this problem. I also see gaps between the tongue and the two sides which I would have expected if the shoe was small for me. Its a shame because this is such a nice looking pair.
I'm impressed. I purchased these boots recently and used them, more or less out of the box, for an 8 day backpack trip (~30lb pack/~75 miles) in the Beartooth Mountains. The fit is excellent. They're light, stable, and protective. The traction is great. The waterproof protection worked well. I can't speak to the long-term durability, but they've held up well so far. My only complaint, and it's not a big deal, is that they smelled pretty bad after the first day. These are a serious upgrade after using trail runners for hiking and backpacking for many years...without much of a weight penalty. Side note - I intended to purchase the X Ultra 4, but after trying both models on, I went with this boot because it fit better and felt more substantial, especially the sole.
