I have had several of these, they are not made the same. Fewer eyelets and they have a "cheap feel" to them.

The first time putting on the boot, brand new from the box, one of the cheap fabric eyelets broke, rendering the boot completely useless. First and last time buying a Salomon shoe.

Owner of many previous pairs of Salomon boots, these feel light (not in a good way), and the size is too small compared to past Salomon boots on my very same feet. These are not worth their exorbitant price tag.

Comfortable boots, but they are not waterproof, at all. Walking through wet grass soaks your feet. I specifically wanted waterproof boots, and these were advertised as waterproof. My dog destroyed the box, so I couldn’t return them. I won’t buy any boots from Salomon again. Buyer beware!

Ok this is literally my 60th pair of Salomon shoes. I usually go XA pro. My 3 rd X Ultra boots. Support is good. Durable as usual. They Lack arch support. Which is to get a feel for the trail/rocks??? Tuck your laces in, the loop of one will catch on the hook of the other.

I'd forgotten that these pop like a bounced ball (the sound) if you have the temerity to use the balls of your feet. A bummer, and quite annoying, even if the fit is correct.
