Avoid for hunting. Does not work as described.

The Petzl Aria 2 is overpriced cheaply made garbage. Unless you know morse code to switch color modes, dont waste your time or money. Mine is stuck in flashing red mode or white light. There is supposed to be a blue and green mode for hunting, but with only 1 button on entire light, it never cycles through to those features.

great addition to my camping experience

life saver, I was camping in Jasper national park. Just in time when the wild fire hit us. Had to hike out of the campground into town at close to 12am. Thank god for this headlamp. It is bright. The brightest setting is able to lit up the entire road. Used it for a total of about 8 hrs with mixed brightness setting, and there are still plenty of juices left. Will definitely recommend it.

Rugged waterproof/dustproof/impact resistant light

Extremely durable waterproof/dustproof build with Red Green Blue lighting and plenty of lumens for any application. This is a more robust build than most other lights on the market, built for abuse. Great for military, LE, construction, and other harsh environments.

Hard to open battery compartment but a good light

Very bright and comfortable but if it had not been for the customer answer on this page I couldn't have opened the battery compartment or known where it is. No instructions included. Petzl is a great brand.

Not rechargeable out of the box

Read the fine print details. Even though it says rechargeable, you have to buy a separate $25 battery to make it rechargeable. Also, the headlamp is not as powerful without the rechargeable battery.
