NOT the light that is shown in the Technical Spec
This is not a complaint about the product as much as about the misleading information about the product on the REI web pages. The Technical Specs shown for the Petzl ARIA 2R headlamp list it as, "Bulb Detail: 2 LED, 1 red LED." This is technically correct, but the only red LED on the unit is simply a tiny bulb that flashes once when the headlamp is put in "lock" mode. The Technical Spec goes on to say, "Red Light Mode: Yes." The headlamp does NOT, however, have a red light mode (which was a key consideration for me as a night photographer). Further, the Technical Spec lists, "Strobe: 1". It does NOT have a strobe mode. To make matters worse, when I sought to contact REI (via email) to discuss the misleading information, I received an AI response. Upon further research, I found that Petzl does, in fact have an ARIA 2R model, the ARIA 2R RGB, that has the specs that I thought I'd been purchasing with this light.

Specs said this model has red light mode. It does not. I would not have purchased it if I would have known that.

The description on the REI website was misleading and incorrect. There is NOT a red light mode on this headlamp. If I knew this headlamp didn’t have a red light, I would have ordered a different headlamp.

Incorrect specs

Not what the specs show - no red light. Battery life is laughable and brightness is very sad at the highest level.
