2 years of these shorts 10/10
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I run, hike, climb in these shorts. I have 5 pairs that are two years old, and 4 new pairs. I ripped one pair and sewed them up so I wouldn't lose them. I've taken these shorts on several mountains, to the gym, to work, etc.
Not the best...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are a huge disappointment... First, there is no "mesh brief liner" as mentioned in the 'Features'...the pockets are mesh, but if you're expecting them to have a swim trunk type liner, nope. Second, Mineral Grey is straight up taupe, there's zero grey in that color, no matter what light source I put them under, they were brown. Lastly, the fit...I've got some meat on me, so I figured they wouldn't look as skort-ish on me as they do in some of the pictures, but I was wrong...may be the micro cargo pockets on them that give that shape, but I wasn't expecting to look like Dr. Ellie Sattler when I put them on (and I love her). Returned them...
Dope Product..Versatile..Cozy & Colors way better in person

Great shorts, a must buy for guys
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second pair of these shorts actually, picked up the first pair at a factory outlet store and they ended up so great I immediately ordered these online. They have a 7" inseam so they fall about mid thigh for a perfect fit. The fit runs just a tad small so XXL fit me at 44" waist just right. The belt is built in and honestly perfect you can cinch down with a quick pull and release. Has side pockets and side zippered cargo pockets that are mesh lined so you have plenty of space. Can be used for water wear but they are great wear about shorts for outdoor use. Highly recommend.
Love these shorts so far
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these shorts a month ago at the North Face store in Boulder. I honestly fell in love with them when I saw them and after a month of good wear, I still love them. I've worn these on two trips already and they look brand new still. I'm an apparel design major and I know a good product when I see them. The belted trail short is the men's short silhouette of the summer and this is that category. I actually just did a lab report on these shorts for a textile class and the fabric makeup is spot on for what you want out of a short like this. I honestly would buy another pair.
A few more pairs on my shopping list
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how fast they dry. I am an avid water skier, when I have finished wake boarding/ skiing, by the time I park the boat at the dock, my pants are already dry! They look amazing too. I love them!
Perfect shorts for being active or just hanging out
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a casual pair of shorts that I could wear for a variety of activities like hiking, playing lawn games with friends, or just hanging out around the house. These shorts are perfect. As a guy with bigger thighs and butt, I was having trouble finding comfortable shorts with a modern, shorter inseam. I love that the 5" length are comfortable but stylish. I know cargo shorts aren't exactly in style but I do like having the extra pockets. The subtle zippered pockets let me carry everything I need without the bulge of a traditional cargo short.
Not what they once were
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I agree with other posters about their disappointment over this product. I have bought North Face Class V Belted Shorts for years and never has the product been this bad. First there is no shelf liner, the whole reason I buy this product. Second the fabric is cheap and heavy, hardly the lighter, airier fabric the company once used. Third it appears North Face has reverted to the short shorts edict of 1970. I never thought I would say this but it is no clear to me that the similar product Columbia produces is superior to the North Face short.
awesome shorts
Very comfortable shorts soft and stylish during this summer heat.
Best Summertime shorts ever!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the best outdoor activity/water activity/warm weather fun shorts ever. They have a great relaxed fit, and the ability to adjust the waist easily with the built-in belt. I've never been a fan of the built-in liners that these shorts tend to have as a feature, so was very excited to find out that they don't have one. You can do any outdoor activity with these shorts, and are plenty comfortable as a stay-at-home, kick around shorts as well! Enjoy!
