Great Short’s, just a little long.
I have really liked the prAna shorts I received and have been using them fairly regularly. They fit true to size and the stretch is great! I wish they offered shorts with a shorter inseam since these are a bit longer than I usually like, but overall a great product. I really liked the zippered small pocket on the right side where you can put keys or valuables. It’s a great little addition! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.
Favorite New Do It All Shorts
These shorts are durable yet lightweight, with breathable fabric that keeps me comfortable whether hiking or working at my desk. The pockets and design are functional without feeling bulky. As a size 32 waist, I found the fit spot on—especially around the thighs, where shorts usually run too tight. They feel high-quality and thoughtfully made, with a clear focus on sustainability. Disclosure: I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.
Great backpacking Shorts
I tested these shorts for a backpacking trip on Mt. Hood while hiking the Timberline trail. The breathability of the material was perfect for the hot weather, they dried quickly and are stretchy enough to run comfortably. The fit is true to size. The material made it easy to clean off dirt. I liked the small hidden zipper packet for stashing a key. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.
A good everyday casual short
I was given these shorts for free in exchange for an honest review. thought these shorts were great, they fit very wel and hada great stretchy material. I've worn The prana Zion pants for a while now and honestly can't get enough of them, these reminded me of those. They have big pockets and feel like they are made of the same durable material as the Zion pant. I took this hiking a few times. I really liked it and I'm usually not a shorts hiker. I am disappointed by the lack of built in belt like other prana products have, and the lack of a cargo pocket on the lower left leg. All things considered I would describe this pant as a perfect gym short or something to wear to feel cool and comfortable all day.
Stretch like crazy
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. Prana gave me this product free to try. I have greatly enjoyed testing out these shorts. They allow for mobility unlike any other hiking shorts I have tried before. They dry quickly and breath super well. I used these shorts for all sorts of hiking along the AT and took everything I could throw at them and kept giving. From yoga at the summit to sliding down rocks on the way down and everything in between.
These run small and have a different cut than last year's style.
I have two pair of the previous version of these shorts. The older cut fits me better. The new version has a slightly smaller waist for the same sizing. Moving up a size worked for me but both sizes are cut in such a way that they are baggier in the front with puckering fabric at the pocket opening and under the waistband. In the larger arc of Prana products, there are no longer decent options for shorts or pants with fabric offerings like the Bronson and Tucson pants that were made of cotton duck. All of the current offerings are synthetic blends that tend to abrade and pill. They do not age gracefully.
Great all-around shorts
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. These are a great pair of shorts. They are breathable, lightweight, and move with you. The functionality is there too. I wore them hiking in MT and ND and they were moisture-wicking, breathable and all around comfortable. I wore them wet wading while fishing and they dried very quickly, you couldn’t even tell you were in water after a half hour.
Excellent shorts for hot weather hiking and comfortable travel.
[Employee of prana] Bought 2 pair prior to trip from San Diego to South Utah, touring, hiking Zion and Moab. Unbelievable comfortable and more lightweight than expected. I found it durable getting in and out of trails, as well as getting in and out of my truck bed for the camping needs! Love the lightweight feel and material on my skin. In the heat, I never felt like it added or was noticeable, which I appreciate the most. Wife thinks its one of the best looking on me, so I'll take that as thumbs up for a great look too!
GREAT shorts, but too short.
I LOVE Prana, and these shorts used to be PERFECT. They offered a 12" inseam, 10" inseam, and 8" inseam. The 10" was perfect for me, but the 12" is cool too. The 8" inseam is too short for work, as pointed out by others. It's fine for walking around, but when sitting, there is WAY too much leg showing. Not comfortable. Some of the other Prana options I like are not available in black. So strange. Please give us back the bread and butter 10" inseam Zion 5 Pocket Shorts in black, and offer black in other similar shorts styles.
Hard to fit
I’m a 74 year old male. Have gained a bit of weight over last year and a half. Previously was a waist size 32. When I bought the shorts, I ordered a 32. Too tight, so I returned them and ordered a size 33. Still too tight. Returned them and got a 34. Too big, and when I cinch my belt, the front button comes undone. Frustrating, because the shorts are exactly what I want. I think my issue has more to do with my body type/size than the actual shorts.
