Awesome but run BIG
I just received these swim shorts I bought specifically for paddleboarding when sometimes i don't want my booty hanging out there in bikini bottoms when I have no plans to get in the water. They are awesome but they RUN BIG. I wear a size 6 but have a very athletic build and small bathing suit bottoms are always teeny tiny but mediums fit perfectly. Not the case with these. Mediums are baggy at the waist. If they had a waistband they would be fine. They are final sale so I can't exchange for a small. I'm reviewing these on the premise that I got a small. The cut is awesome, the quality is great, and they are conceptually perfect for the activity I got them for. Definitely give them a shot but SIZE DOWN.
A Desperation Purchase
I was on vacation and forgot my swimsuit. This was the least bad option. The cut is unflattering, the hem rolls up on the legs and the suit doesn't feel secure when swimming. I was hoping to find a basic one piece suit, but there were none available.
It’s a very comfy short!
First of all, I got this Zelda short for testing purpose. I’m a surfer, swimmer or an open water lover with my puppy. I received this item for surfing but actually it’s very comfy that there is an inside panty with silicon on the edge so it does not move around! I always have to correct my surf bottom in the water but this blows my embarrassing moment away!! Im glad that I’ve got this short for water sports and I think I can wear it even for hiking! It is true to size and I ordered S. I hope my review helps you to order this short.
Sizing is ridiculously unreliable
Within the nautical collection the size that fit me properly ranged from a large (1 piece) to a small (Zelda short) to a medium (rash guard) and has led to multiple exchanges. I was told that it’s a new product and the team probably hasn’t gotten the sizing right. When I wanted to switch the shorts for a different piece in the collection I was told that would be a new order and I’d have to pay for shipping. Finally I’ve given up and returned the shorts and rash guard. They just lost a customer.
Flattering & comfy!
Thought they were lightweight workout shorts until I noticed the tag said swim bottoms. Will probably only use as workout shorts. Super comfy!
Nice!
Haven’t worn these in the water yet but they fit exactly right. They look and feel a bit more like pajama pants than I expected so we’ll see how the material dries. Also the inner lining has a very sticky edge that I think is meant to keep me from flashing people, but definitely sticks to my skin when putting the suit on and is pretty uncomfortable until it’s in place.
odd style?
Didn't love the style, sort of 'nightie' style bottoms, with liner. I preferred the Lorenzo (more athletic fit) but it ran large. I am 5'7", 142lbs -- medium fit well for Zelda but should have ordered Small for Lorenzo.
The shorts are a bit
The shorts are a bit big so I will return and order a medium. I usually where medium so I don't know why I ordered the large. The shorts are really cute and look so nice with the tankini top.
Comfy and cute
Love these swim shorts! According to the size guide I’d be a Medium, but got a Large and those fit great. Fun color, easy to get on and off, and the little pocket is a nice feature.
Great bathing suit bottoms
I needed bathing suit bottoms that would fit under a wet suit. My others are skirts and bunch up. These are comfortable and are just what I needed.
