The Perfect Fit
I struggle with swim bottoms, either they are cut too low and make me uncomfortable or they are just all-around too tight. These fit perfect and stay snug, without being too tight. Love. I wear a 28" waist jean, with a 37" hip and the small is perfect.
Be careful while lap swimming
I think the fit is true to size. The bottom fit well but when I went lap swimming, the bottom did move down uncomfortably so that I had to stop & adjust in the middle of the lane. It was worse with a flip turn. So I needed to remember to go easy or lose the bottom of the suit. I bought the top to go with it which worked out OK. The bottom though is for show not really for action.
Stinson swimsuit
This is the ONLY swimsuit I have ever loved. The underwire is a must and helps support the larger busts. It is the ONLY suit that stays put when I surf. The bottoms have the perfect amount of coverage and don't ride up. The suit is classic, cute, and sporty. I will buy more of the same style in different colors.
Very flattering with good coverage!
As I looked for Carve bottoms, I opted for these in three different patterns, and I'm glad I did! I'm 5'9", 140 lbs, chest 35", waist 29", hips 40.5". I ordered medium, and they fit perfectly. I wanted bottoms that offered a bit more coverage but weren't high rise - I don't like ones that ride up in the front or have my cheeks out - and these are great and flattering. The waistband and seams around the legs don't cut in, and they definitely stay in place (at least during my literal "dry run" in my house). I own other Carve swimsuits, and these seem like the same high quality material that has worn well. I'm excited to wear these on my upcoming trip.
Cute but sizing was disappointing
These are super cute but I order a large and they were tight. I purchased a Xl and it was still tight. I am a solid size 14 bottoms. I took the tag off so I cant return these my fault but disappointed that the sizing is so off. Purchased another brand in the same size (large) and they fit just fine even loose.
Perfect bottoms
I've never heard of this brand, and I'm very happy with it. XS fit me perfect even tho I have a bit of bulgy belly. Simple and comfortable, a keeper.
Cute but definitely not full coverage
I have a thin build and a small rear - yet my cheeks are definitely not contained by this bottom. My hips are 37 with a waist of 29 which puts me between sizes. Since these sit on the hips I first tried the small - wasn't terribly tight but definitely emphasized the cheek spillage. I returned and sized up to a medium, which feels more comfortable but still doesn't cover. It's a bit loose on my hips which makes me worry it's going to slide down when I dive. I'm keeping them but do wish there was an option in this print that was truly full coverage. Feels very well made and the print is beautiful.
Fantastic versatile swimsuit
I really appreciate this design. I have a long narrow torso and it has always been difficult finding a proper fitting swimsuit especially one that meets my athletic needs. The top and bottom fit great. No blisters while wearing a pfd and paddling. I even wear it on trail runs when a swim is planned. The top offers me sufficient support to replace my sports bra. In addition, the suit also looks great. It is fun to have sports gear that is both practical and stylish. Furthermore I love that Carve has made efforts to reduce the environmental impact (ex: using recycled polyester in production).

Fabric is polyester now, not nylon. Runs large.
Online description specified nylon (like most swimwear), but the tags say polyester. I called Carve Designs and they confirmed that they switched from using nylon to polyester sometime last year. Nice style, looks cute, but too loose and stretchy, not a secure fit for waves etc. I ordered a small and it def runs large. Will return.
