Perfect straps to attach a tent to your pack
These straps are perfect for my Deuter AirContact 45+10. This particular bag doesn't have independent straps to attach a tent to the outside. So I got these and I'm able to attach my tent (REI Quarter Dome SL1) & a backpacking chair (REI Flexlite), by running them through the bottom loops & side loops of the pack. I'm actually able to criss-cross the straps, so they attach to each others end. It TIGHTLY holds my stuff & I have no worries about it getting loose. These straps are a fantastic length. So glad I got them, so I don't have to use my larger pack. They are very sturdy & they lock very solidly as well.

Only 32 inches long!,
the packaging and website description says 40 inches. I have to say, this is so egregious that I blame REI for selling this product and wasting my time

Easy to use strap for carrying violins on bike!

My kids use these straps to carry their violins to school on the back of their bikes on the bike cargo racks. This is a well made strap. With the buckle system, it is really easy and quick for the kids to attach their violins to the cargo racks.

Great for Strapping Utilities

These straps function as they should — buckle, unbuckle, the whole nine yards. Perfect for lashing mid-sized exterior items to a pack. I estimated these straps to be long enough to hang a stuff sack or sleeping bag off of the bottom of a pack — if this is your plan, go a size up. I found this size to be not quite long enough for that application. The only con of note with this product is that the orange collars appear to be for management of excess strap, but the ones on mine are far too tight to fit anything more than the single layer of strap in. No big deal — the excess can be easily bundled with up with any rubber band.

Strap It Down Tight!

Needed some extra straps to secure my bow to the back of my backpack for a 4 mile hike to our spike camp in Colorado for an archery Elk hunt. REI had an assortment of sizes of utility straps. Fully adjustable, 1" wide and very strong, secure clasps to keep everything in place. They work so well, I went back and purchased another set of 40" as well as 24" just to bring along on the trip. Highly recommend these utility web straps from REI at a great price.

Great product, but completely incorrect sizing.

Does the job, but the 40 inch strap is actually 32 inches long! Buyer beware.

OK, but hard to tighten

I bought these at the last minute because I was going bike packing and the straps I had weren't long enough to strap my bag on my handlebars. These worked ok, but they were surprisingly hard to tighten after I set them up. I'll be getting some better straps before my next trip, but these would probably be fine for other uses.

Great for cinching bulky jackets down and pack use

These are great for cinching bulky jackets down and stuffing them in your suitcase/packs for travel. They are durable and strong. The offer pretty long sizes which makes them good for stuff like cinching your jackets attaching a sleeping pad to your pack. Pretty good product!

Strap

Fine, as expected, but I would have liked them all black.
