Wore this outfit above the arctic circle in the Lofoten Islands, Norway. Very comfortable and warm
This Arc'teryx Women's Rho Zip-Neck Base Layer Top provided me with a great wearing experience. The fabric is soft and has excellent insulation, making it ideal for outdoor activities in cold weather. The slim fit is very flattering without being bulky, and the zipper design allows for easy temperature adjustment. I especially like its breathable yet warm features, making it perfect as a base layer. One thing to note is that the sizing runs small, so I recommend sizing up. Overall, highly recommended!
This baselayer has been my go-to for a wide range of activities this winter and spring, from multipitch climbing in Yosemite to cycling and skiing. It's light enough for high-output activities yet keeps you warm when layered with a shell. I wore it just under a shell during a snowy trip to Tahoe in the low 20s and stayed toasty warm. The arm pocket is a nice touch; I've used it to store chapstick, ID, and credit cards. It's become one of my favorite pieces, even for everyday wear.
Perfect for winter biking, ice skating, alpine skiing (with a shell or puffy on top). Often between S or M but M was perfect; not too long in torso (I'm 5'4; 128 broad shoulders). Can fit a thin layer under or just enjoy the plush interior of this top. Nice looking for apres bike/ski/skate.
I used this during our camping which was around 20F and it was perfect as a baselayer. Also used it to run my half marathon and I wasn’t cold since it started early morning, I also wasn’t really hot when the sun started to show. The best! Will buy the leggings to use as a baselayer for snowboarding season!
Soft fleece inside makes it extremely comfortable. Attractive shape and fun color. Great durability. Definitely my go-to top!
Wore this as a base layer for an evening out to the Civic Orchestra via CTA. Stayed wonderfully warm.
I love this top. I wear it as a shirt with a vest more often than as a baselayer. It's not as tight as most baselayers, which I really like. It keeps me warm but not too warm. I'm not a huge fan of 1/4 zips and would prefer the crew neck, but the crew neck Rho is considerably smaller in the shoulders and chest. I wear a medium in all my Arcteryx clothing, but I have to go up to a large in the Rho crew to fit my shoulders and chest and then the rest of the shirt is too wides and the length is down to my thighs. I don't know why the sizing is different, but it is.
Comfortable, extra warmth with a thin layer of fleece inside, attractive shape and color.
I returned this for various reasons. Collar should have been higher up for winter skiing, etc. The arms should have had wrist holes. The zipper should have been longer to vent on high output activities. For the high price of this item, they really could have made the zipper longer and the sleeves have wrist holes or whaterver you call them.
