My new favorite.

This might be my new favorite piece! I wore it during a hut to hut trip in the Dolomites (every day!). It was warm and cozy but not too hot. My favorite thing about it is how the hood fits. It’s not floppy like many hoods. I also wore it on a very cold 34 mile bike ride around the Dolomites Sellaronda ride. The hood fit under my helmet without issue. I HIGHLY recommend this. I’m 5’ 4”/ 115# and got the extra small. It is a perfect fit.

Great layer that can act as a hat and scarf too!

I love this underlayer. I brought it on a recent European trip to wear on the airplane as it is light enough not to get hot, but also would provide added warmth if needed. I ended up having an unexpected layover in Iceland in April, and hadn't deliberately packed outdoor clothes (or a hat). I was able to use the built in hood and even the balaclava effect when I was hiking in a very cold wind to stay cozy. I hadn't expected to use this in this way, but it really allowed me to go on some unplanned outdoor adventures without feeling unprepared. I used it a lot and love how it feels and looks as well.

Would Make a Great Gift!

[Employee of arcteryx] This hoody is so comfortable and cozy! I bought it in a size large (I typically wear a size large in Arc'teryx products) - and it fits perfectly. I originally bought it to wear under an Atom vest while cross country skiing but our local zone hasn't opened yet, but I've worn it resort snowboarding and casually day-to-day and it's awesome. I'm always reaching for it, it layers really nicely and the hood is so subtle that it kind of just looks like a turtleneck unless you have the hood up. Would make a perfect gift for any active person in your life who lives in a cooler climate and wants the warmth and protection (and breathable/moisture wicking properties of merino).

Love the built in balaclava

I love this top especially on cooler days. I was skeptical at first but after wearing it the first time I found that the balaclava face protection stays in place so much better than a buff and easier to breathe through. I’m still waiting for the return of the Satoro AR 1/2 zip. I have holes in the armpits and elbows but I love the weight and desperately need a refresh.

Perfect hoody

Absolutely love this hoody. It’s warm but breathable, I felt very comfortable in the morning and afternoon with this on. Love the color and the material. Really hope they offer this in additional colors at some point because I’d love to buy more….mustard yellow would be awesome :)

One of my favorite tops from Arc'teryx!

This is my new favorite top to lounge around in. I took it on the Wonderland Trail around Mt Rainier Sept 24-Oct 3 as part of my sleep system and it is so cozy and soft. I paired it with the Satoro wool pants. The combo kept me very comfortable in 30-40 degree temps in my sleeping bag. Now that I am home I wear it around town as a normal top. Love the ponytail hole in the hood and how it comes up around the face. I see myself using this often during snowboarding season as well. Definitely recommend! Am hoping it will not pill with longer term use but time will tell.

A perfect base layer for snow activities!

I've used it as a base layer for skiing in -5C sunny, no wind conditions with Atom Jacket and Sentinel on top. That is my second Merino Wool piece from our brand. and the previous one from two years ago was a bit itchy. But I've decided to try it as I wanted a top base layer + balaclava / neck gaiter in one piece. It worked pretty well - I loved how warm, soft, light, and stretchy it is. The only thing is that the ponytail port doesn't work for me as if I do one braid / ponytail it's too thick to put it under a helmet - I had to keep my two braids under the hood.

A new favourite

Love this new hoody - it’s lightweight and warm, and a good fit. I am going up a size to XL whereas I’m usually a med or large, but find it more roomy and comfortable in a larger size. L is more fitted for me. I’m a big fan of merino wool for its breathable properties, comfort and lightness. I have a long sleeved Arc’teryx shirt I wore during a recent Camino trip. I will be bringing this one on my next Camino and for all my fall and winter hikes. Love how thin it is and the bright purple colour too!

Warm base layer, I love the hood and neck design.

Great base layer. It was warmer than I expected. If you were to compare it to Smartwool, it is closer to the 250 weight. I love this hood and neck design in a different base layer that isn't produced anymore, so I had to try this wool layer. It is a slim fit, so I sized up for a looser fit, which worked for me. The result was slightly longer sleeves, but not too long to make it a problem. I doubt I will use the ponytail hole unless I have a climbing helmet on.

Cozy and flattering

I have a Rho merino base layer from 2018ish that I absolutely love, and I was hoping this would be the same material. Definitely seems to be! That one is warm and soft and has held up amazingly well to climbing and mountain rescue work. I wish this Satoro hoodie was just a bit longer, but I’m very happy with the fit overall. I usually wear a small in Arc'teryx jackets and shirts, but always size up to a medium in their baseware tops.
