Product is of the same quality that other Salomon ones are, however, I've always worn US size 11 (EU 45) on other Salomon shoes and boots, so that's what I ordered here. Yet when I tried them on, they definitely seemed between a size and half a size to big, but I was leaving on a trip the next day and had already thrown my old pair out, so I kept them. Over the trip I wore them every day, great support, grip, and comfy, but confirmed they were too big. No idea if this was a quality control issue or this design. Luckily, my younger brother is about half a size larger than me so the shoes won't go to waste :). Ordered a second pair, hopefully this pair will fit.
I bought these shoes for my husband. He really loves the feel but they are less than one month old and have already developed a hole on the front right toe area.

Masked Minnesota did a great review on these I got some and love them
Good shoes. Comfortable, nice fit and durable for hiking
My 2nd pair of these and looking forward to future miles. I did 125 miles in Spain last year in the first pair, the GTX version. These are equally comfortable and supportive, and lighter without the Gore-tex which I don't need for most summer travel. Great for pavement and some off road. Not heavy enough for real trail trekking but a great all around travel shoe.
The Salomon brand fits me very well. I have tried a lot of different shoes and this is my favorite. It seems more durable as far as sole wear than many of the other Salomon shoes I have tried. Yes the tongue sliding to the side is a problem that could be fixed if they use an attached tongue like they do with other models. I use this walking on the road and on trails and am happy with both situations.
I wanted to love this shoe because there’s a lot of potential here. I came from primarily hiking in trail runners and thought I’d give this hiker a shot for. It has a more relaxed fit than the Salomon race shoes and what I’d call a “normal” last with a slightly generous toe box which I appreciated for the longer mile days but not what I’d consider a wide fit. The rubber has good grip on dirt, mud, and mixed terrain. They’re a bit slippery on rock but not terrible. The tongue however is absolutely terrible as other reviewers have mentioned. It is nearly impossible to get to stay in place and immediately will slide off to the side which is very uncomfortable. In order to get it to stay remotely in place, you have to really tighten the laces down which makes the fit uncomfortable and even then the tongue will still eventually slide. Overall a good concept with some potential but needs some tweaks.
The most valuable information we can receive from customers is feedback about how our products are performing in the field. Hearing product experiences allow us to see what our consumers would like to see in our designs and areas where we can improve.
I have a wide foot and Salomon has always offered a shoe that fits me. These shoes are narrow and uncomfortable even though I bought the same size as last time. The prehistoric return policy means that once I have determined that these shoes won't work for me they are unreturnable. I will go back to my previous brand.
Hey, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We often adjust our products based on direct customer feedback. We will make sure to pass this along to our designers for consideration in future products.
Why or why Salomon cut corners on a tongue lace loop. Without it the tongue walks terribly to one side. Plan to bring these to my seamstress to have them add the tongue loop. Otherwise - great color combo, fits a touch longer than S-Labs do, and the sole is stiff so rocky trails are comfortably navigated.
I have had these shoes for six months and am very happy with them. Great fit and so have no issues with the tongue. They have also held up very well. They do have a wider tie box than the running shoes which is nice. Very stable great traction. Highly recommend them for walking.
