Versatile bottle with leak proof lid
I have this bottle for a few days now . I usually carry water or some cold beverage for trips and it keeps the drinks nice and cold for 8+ hours. I haven’t had a problem with bottle / lid leaking and I got the straw twist cap lid . Please see pictures , the straw is stainless steel and both the bottle and cap are dishwasher safe (solid colors are ) . Four stars because I wish the bottom of the bottle is tapered so it will fit in standard cup holders but it isn’t an issue for me as I won’t be able to hold a 32OZ bottle full of drink in one hand and drive with the other anyways . Handle to carry the bottle is a nice plus which few other bottles didn’t have . All stainless makes me feel better that it won’t have any problems with hot liquids as well.
Quality bottle with great integrated straw
The integrated straw on these bottles is the stand out feature. It’s a little hard to describe what’s different about it from its competitors, but it’s just better. With a quick twist, the straw pops out. I love the way that keeps the straw clean and hidden when not in use. Typically I’m not a huge fan of straws on water bottles, but this one works well with little effort to get your beverage of choice out and into your mouth. This 32 oz is a beast compared to other bottles. I guess that extra size helps keep your liquid cold—my ice water was still icy 24 hours after packing it. There is also a sturdy handle on the cap that can be used to clip to your backpack.
Comfortable to use, but not safeto throw in a bag!
This bottle arrived carefully wrapped in recyclable packaging. It is slightly uncomfortably large in my hand, but the carrying handle is very eady to use. It does feel like a close fit with the straw extended. The bottle exterior is made of a material that seems to repel water and waterspots. The interior is stainless steel, including the straw, except for parts of the lid. The straw is easy to remove and replace for cleaning. I LOVE the silicone sipping part of the straw. It is extremely comfortable and easy to use. The volume is a good one for my uses, and doesn't feel insanely small for the size of the bottle. The reason this lost a star is that it leaked in my purse. It seems like the lid of the straw portion twisted as I was wearing the purse. Also, this kept my water cold, but the ice did melt over a couple hours in 75 degree weather. I dont like ice cold water, but someone else might find it annoying. Some care must be taken to prevent the lid from unscrewing when opening the straw compartment. Finally, my 4 year old nephew also really liked it, and found it very easy to use. He didn't want to hand it back.
Great Bottle for Everyday Use!
The wide mouth and 1 quart capacity makes this insulated bottle ideal for everyday use and most outdoor activities. The “straw” is easy to clean and simple to conceal when not in use. It’s heavy and solidly made. It also has a handy bail for carrying. I take mine to work and have used it for short outdoor trips, canoe and boat outings, and while working in the yard. It is too heavy for backpacking. I take mine to the office. It keeps beverages hot and cold for several hours.
Great water bottle to keep things cool
I've been using this water bottle for several weeks and really love how well it keeps things cool. There's nothing worse than sitting in the hot sun at the beach or on the shore of a lake, reaching for a drink of water, and finding that the water in your bottle has grown tepid or warm or even hot. This bottle delivers on its promise to keep things insulated. I've used in on trips to the local beach and even for a week long trip to Moosehead Lake in Maine. It worked a charm on that trip at keeping things cool and keeping me hydrated. The one little niggle I have with it is I seem to have gotten some sand into the top. It doesn't impact its performance, but I can feel it scraping whenever I open or close the part of the lid that lets the straw out. It's still perfectly functional, and I'm hopeful that the sand will make its way out of there eventually, but I couldn't find a way to open that part up and give it a good cleaning myself.
Innovative design
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I’d still pay for this for myself and as gifts for friends and family. There’s a lot to like about this water bottle’s design. One of the most remarkable is how the twist lid pushes the straw down when not in use. While there is one thing I don’t like about it (more about that later), I think the pro of keeping it covered outweighs any cons. That’s particularly the case if you travel and have to run this through the bag scanner. It always bugs men when my other water bottles go through there with the straws or drinking surface is exposed, opening it to contamination. Other thoughtful features include bumps rather than grooves where the lid screws in, making it easier to clean. A removable metal straw makes it easier to push through ice when it’s in use and clean it when it’s not. The construction is solid, with a metal carrying handle rather than the plastic you find on other water bottles. It’s dishwasher safe (for solid colors), which you don’t see on cheap knock-offs. My one complaint about it, which isn’t enough to knock off a star, is that I don’t really like the straw. It’s a tactile thing that’s probably specific to me. It’s wobbly and I prefer a solid one. They couldn’t cover it if it was solid, though, so that’s just a trade off. The wobbly one is also an advantage if you’re drinking water in a car - there’s less of a chance of injury should you get into an accident while drinking. In terms of performance, it does great. It’s in line with other premium insulated water bottles. I’ve put ice water in it, drank the water, and had still had frozen ice chunks the next day. That’s even in weather approaching the 80’s (Fahrenheit).
Great larger water bottle
The bottle has a nice durable finish. Convenient handle to carry it around. Keeps ice well and doesnt sweat due to the stainless steel vacuum insulation. The straw lid is easy to use and keeps the end clean when closed. This is my go to bottle for going on hikes or sporting events!!
Great tumbler, no leaks, keeps cold things cold.
I really like everything about this tumbler. It came packed virtually plastic trash free. The design is clean and sleek. There is a metal loop on the top that can be hooked onto a clip or used to tie it down. It can go through the dishwasher. I was skeptical of the leak proof claim but the product doesn't leak. closest it got was when I did use some fizzy drink tablets in there. While closed up it still didn't leak, but when left open the pressure did build inside and overflow a little liquid out of the straw. Understandable. Speaking of the straw, the little silicon straw that comes out of the twist top is very soft but also seems durable. I've had the tumbler for 2 weeks, and it shows no signs of wear or mishaping. The tumbler doesn't really seem to build up condensation which is a plus compared to my other water bottles. Speaking of those and things this does better, this thing keeps ice for so long. There were several times I was taken back by discovering I still had ice. I've used this at my desk while working, I've taken it fishing, and in a effort to get it to leak I tied it to the back of my dirt bike and took it on a little tour. It keeps things cold and doesn't leak. The twist top keeps dirt off the straw which I can't say for my water reservoir straw. Only downside I can think of is it's a little heavier than some water bottles or tumblers. For what I'm using it for that doesn't really come into play so it's earned 5 stars from me.
Practical wide cap insulated bottle
This is a nice insulated bottle that's easy to use and keeps liquids hot or cold very well. The top lid works well and in one turn pops up the straw for easy drinking. Twisting it closed seals it up surprisingly well. It's a good size and the wide mouth makes it easy to fill. I like the matte finish which also gives it a bit of texture. It's primarily metal except for the cap and is easy to disassemble and clean. I haven't tested it's durability but it seems very sturdy.
Excellent daily use bottle with a versatile lid
This 32oz Klean Canteen water bottle is just the right size for my everyday use and replaces a 20oz bottle I was using from another company. This is my first Klean Canteen product and I'm impressed with it. I left ice water in the bottle overnight and there was still ice in the bottle the next morning. I don't necessarily have the need for 12+ hour ice retention but this bottle does it at normal indoor temps. My favorite feature is the built-in straw. You just twist the lid and the silicone straw pops up. Twist it back and the straw disappears. It's kind of neat and makes me feel like nothing gross will get on the straw when I'm on the move. One other cool thing about the lid is that it's interchangeable. So if the straw isn't your thing you can buy a different style of lid. I like this a lot because it makes the whole bottle and lid system much more versatile. The 32oz bottle is too big for my car cupholders so I made sure to test for leaks and the bottle was leak free. I love that this bottle is dishwasher safe. I feel like I'm always washing bottles at my house. It's great that this bottle can take a ride in the dishwasher. One thing to note, I have not disassembled the lid for cleaning yet but it seems straightforward based on the illustrated instructions that were provided in the bottle. This wide mouth bottle is sized almost perfectly to accept ice from my refrigerator. On paper this doesn't seem like a big deal but in practice it makes for a lot less frustration when it comes time to fill the bottle. I'm not bending over to pick up ice that missed the bottle or creating an awkward hand funnel. Your mileage may vary but it's been a noticeable benefit to me. This bottle isn't light. I think some of the heft is due to the beefy bottom but I appreciate the durability. It's dumb that some of my other bottles require a silicone protector and at additional expense. I'm happy to make the tradeoff of more weight for a more durable product. If I want something lighter I have options. This is my day to day bottle that goes with me to the gym and in the car. If I'm going on a long hike I'm probably packing something completely different. Hope this helps.
