We’ve had this bottle for a year. My son (3) loves it however after one year of regular use, the company-sanctioned method for cleaning—which specifically tells you not to remove the rubber connector between the straw and mouthpiece—has caught up with us. There’s visible grime underneath the rubber connector but there’s literally no way to get at it. I’ve tried prying it out with tweezers and other instruments with no luck. We’ve got some other brands of water bottles that have their own shortcomings but I hadn’t considered how important ease and efficacy of cleaning would be. This one is being retired because I just can’t with it anymore.
The bottle would be great, but for the wildly annoying caveat that unless tiny, almost invisible etched arrow on the inside of the straw is not perfectly lined up, your kid will not be getting any water out all day. The amount of times this has happened is maddening. I would not purchase again and will soon return.
The American water bottle industry...a perpetual quandary. I finally find a flip tip bottle without a plastic straw for my son, and the miniscule shelf they put on the spout is too small for him to flip open. Awful design for little kids. He can easily articulate a Hydroflask lid, but that company holds fast to their trusted plastic straws....the search continues
Needed a steel insulated bottle for water that fits the side door of my Prius and this fits perfectly. Plus I love the color and outdoor graphic - doesn’t scream preschool. I’ve had a Klean Kanteen hot liquid container for years and it’s still going strong.
Nice but when you remove the straw it retains water.
