Comfortable and compact
I have a couple of the Roadtrip rockers and love them, but I needed something that is smaller when packed. We car camp out of a Jeep Wrangler that doesn't have a lot of storage space. These chairs worked out perfectly. I think they're comfortable and they rock similarly to the Roadtrip version, though they don't rock as much which was fine. I'm 6'1" and around 230 lbs and the chairs worked great for me. They pack up in a much smaller package which was exactly what I needed.

Not Created for Human Use
This is a strange chair. It's almost as if the people who made it never tested it with an anatomically correct human being. It does not really rock backward past the angle of an airplane seat, only forward at such an angle that it tries to dump you onto the floor. In fact, you have to prop it at a very particular angle to be able to sit in it at all. One could not use it to sit at a table, recline, or sit by a fire. If you're looking for a chair that only enables you to look at a fixed point about ten feet off the ground while supporting your weight with your quads, maybe this is the chair for you. Just don't expect to be able to relax while doing it because, again, it is extremely uncomfortable. It's a real shame because I have the Roadtrip Rocker by GCI and I love it. The only positives I can say for this chair are that it's easy to put together and it has the build quality itself seems high. It's just really hard to believe anyone sat in it before they decided to put it into production.

Does not rock

I was expecting this chair to have more give and feel kind of bouncy or springy. It actually has a very limited range of motion and does not really rock. It can’t reach a reclined potion more than about a 95 degree angle with the ground. Not worth the price, even on sale. Returning.

Love most about this chair.

Love most about this chair. It is comfortable if you are sitting on ground that is slightly tilted backward. Otherwise it rocks into a bit awkward tilt. It would be perfect if there was a lock so that when you find your perfect position you can keep it there.

Rocker

It doesn’t really rock, the actual seat is short. And I am a short person. The back is comfy but I have to return it for something bigger. Made well and easy to put together. I believe it would hold a heavy person but I don’t think someone that weighs 300 # would sit down that low. But anyway all of the REI products are made well just don’t work for all.

Great Design and Very Comfortable!

This chair is easy to assemble and comes with fairly good instructions. When assembled, it is out-of-this-world comfortable and really rocks. It's also easy to take apart again and folds up into a remarkably compact carry bag. I never review anything, and I just had to say how much I love this!

Comfortable and easy to use. Great chair.

Very comfortable and compact. Perfect for sitting around the campsite and watching the campfire and the stars. Easy to assemble. Looked at step one and the rest was intuitive. Taking it apart and stowing it away was even easier.

Not practical

It is very hard to put together. It is not made for people that are large. It is just not a good chair. I am disappointed with the amount of money I paid for it.
