I purchased a Saucony Guide 15, size ten, and a wide shoe. I received it on 21st July 2022. I started using it on 4th August 2022. I walk about 4 to 6 miles daily at least five times a week inside my community on the concrete sideways, and the asphalt paved sidewalk outside the community. I weigh 200 pounds. I rotate the shoes every 2/3 days, and the second pair is Brooks adrenaline GTS 22. This purchase was my first from Saucony. The sole of Saucony Guide 15 wore heavily in about one month. The wear is towards the top side of the sole, causing a hole at the bottom tip of the shoe when Brooks is comparatively in excellent condition. The Guide fits well on me, but my feet push the outer in any direction depending on the road's curves. Maybe stability? I don't know. This continuous push caused hard skin on the sideways of my big toe, little toe, and at the bottom of my left foot. Of course, there were blisters on almost all toes. Please note that the toe width is wide enough to accommodate and not too wide. It is perfect. Maybe the upper could not offer enough resistance against sliding feet responding to the road condition? Can I use the Saucony trail runner to avoid wear? Please suggest. I'm also waiting to hear from Saucony.
This shoe is worth it, with only two minor things to consider. The upper is so comfortable and the stabilization is light and just what I wanted, but the thin tongue doesn't protect your foot from the tautness of the laces, which don't give at all (a very minor thing, but worth the attention). The shoe is light, and just something to be aware is that your foot will feel the ground far more than other stability shoes (possibly a pro or con), which may freak you out if you're making a transition from a more cushioned shoe to this. All in all, I'll be buying another pair!
I typically would never post a review on something, but these shoes have already made a world of difference for my runs. Previous shoe was the Hoka Arahi 6 for my longer and daily runs, I rotated 2 pairs out every day (unless it was a fast type of day), and due to their lack of durability (holes near the little toes forming just after 30 miles), not to mention the foam feeling dead!!!, I was forced to find a replacement shoe… and I will never turn back. My feet are back to feeling happy, and this is my first run in 3 weeks that’s been pain free! These shoes are just as responsive as they are protective, which is a major plus! Good job here Saucony!
I suffer from low arches, after 2-3 miles typically my arch starts to bother me causing my shins to hurt. I’ve used orthotics to help correct but they made my sneaker tight. I change my sneakers every season and I’ve bought the best on the market. I did some research and decided on the Saucony, and after one run to break them in, it was off to the races. I’ve shaved 20 seconds off my miles within a few weeks. Mile 4/5 feels like mile 1. The reaction and support are top notch, I will buy another pair next season.
I had a previous Guide 15 in a size 11, it was amazing and the best shoe I had worn. It slipped in the heel a bit (after learning the lace lock trick it was fine) so I figured I would order a half size down. What a mistake! that half size made a big difference. The toe box felt way tighter and gave me blisters on my toes and I would have arch pain because the shoe just didn't sit right. I started to get knee pain and my nagging calf strain started to come back. I ended up buying a new size 11 and it felt like home. Pain is going away and I feel speedy again. I would give my size 11s a five star but a one star to the 10.5.
We love hearing from happy customers! Thanks for sharing!
Shoes were very comfortable from the moment I put them on until they ripped on top of the toes the very first week I had them. My feet were very happy, until the mesh top left my toes completely exposed that is. Sure, they'd be great shoes if you never left the house but they make slippers for that. What a shame as I really, really thought these were going to change my life with the comfort they provided. I just cant justify paying for another pair seeing as how they lasted a week
Long time fan of Saucony for trail (neutral) runners. Great tech - value - longevity - durability - and fit me perfectly (middle sizing, not narrow or wide) for my 11.5 feet. Lately transitioned to road running with some neutral runners - and immediately knew I needed a little something extra. Went ahead with Guide 15 - just got them today and straight out of the box hit a 10k run - absolutely perfect. Did NOT "feel" like a stability shoe at all - they're light - they're responsive - no weird obtrusive frames/blocks underfoot - but what I did notice was perfectly aligned full-footed strikes, excellent cushion but not at the expense of losing feedback, and zero "tweaks" in the ankle, achilles, or up calf-to-knee as I felt with the neutrals (other brand). Straight out of the box perfection for first 10km - and fast!
I bought 3 pair of these shoes shortly after purchasing several pairs of Freedom 4s. I bought the Guide 15 because it said it's for over-pronators, and I'm certainly one of those! So far, I like the ride of the shoe, though it took a little longer for these to break in than the Freedom 4. These two models are my first venture into Sauconys after years of running in Altra zero drop and Vibram Five Fingers. I am also running in On Cloudflyers. I run at least 100 miles a month and rotate 8-10 pairs of shoes through the course of the year. I hope the outside heel on these hold up as well as they appear early on.
Quality footwear without sacrificing comfort and style!
Highly unsatisfied with the product quality. Undoubtedly shoes provide great comfort. But, the material started to torn out from topline where there is no abrasion or no contact with any surface/ material in less than a month. Never expected such problem when thought to buy such expensive shoes. It slowly diminished brand value in my mind. If I had an option to attach the photograph, had done so to show the poor quality of expensive shoes.
I bought this shoe as a stable companion to my neutral runners, you know for days when youre tired and form breaks down. I'll say they got the job done very well, they are stable and secure with decent cushioning. In my size 12 US the fit is true in terms of length (maybe a tad short), however quite narrow in terms of forefoot width. Next time id pick a wide 12 or a size 12.5 instead. The upper feels good and hugs the foot nicely while providing good ventilation. The ride is very firm out of the box and needs a good 10-20 miles before they "come alive". After the break in they feel wonderful and gives nice cushion while keeping you stable and secure for your runs. In terms of energy they are more like old timey trainers. You gotta put in the work, they wont do it for you. They will however take care of you while running and keeping your legs fresh for your next run.
