The shoes are very lightweight. Took a few days to adjust to the fit. They were a little loose at first but they fit great now. The only issue is the sole isn't all rubber. It only has a small portion that is rubber. And the other part wears pretty quickly. If it was more rubber, I would give them a 5.
I’ve been wearing previous models of the Kinvara to the gym for 5+ years now. However, this new model is already showing a lot wear after 5 workouts. It is especially noticeable in the soles because where starting to break apart.
I've worn Saucony shoes for over a decade (mostly road, treadmill during the winters), and I love my Kinvaras over the years. My 15s have the classic Saucony feel that makes me want to launch myself into my run. So very fun. There isn't as much cushion in them as there is in the Rides or Guides, so I would recommend them for 13.1 or less. This pair is durable too. At almost 330 miles, they are not showing any appreciable wear. Will definitely purchase another pair of Kinvaras when these are (finally) done.
I typically run 60-70 mi/week, and run in Kinvaras for all my easy days. It's one of the few remaining lightweight, neutral, no frills trainers on the market with the running industry moving towards maximum cushion and super foams in every shoe. My only gripe is the outsole gets worn down too quickly - for me typically within 250-300 miles running on a mix of pavement and crushed gravel paths. I wish Saucony would add a thin layer of more durable rubber to the bottom to be able to get another 50-100 miles out of a pair, but otherwise the Kinvara remains my go-to shoe when I'm not wearing a plated-shoe on workout days.
I loved the kinvara 11 and 12. Had them each for years at a time and they were the absolutely perfect. Saucony took them out of stock and only had the 15's available. These shoes could not be more different than the previous versions in the worst way possible. They feel terrible, completely fell apart in less than 6 months, make my feet constantly hurt, and feel like they are going to slip off at any point. If you loved the previous kinvara's and want to get them again, do not get the kinvara 15!
I’ve had many pairs of Saucony, these are my second Kinvara. What’s awesome about these is that my heel is not wearing through the inner linings. I have a narrow heel and wear out the heel of shoes from the inside to the outer shell. Even though all my Saucony’s fit great and felt great, I still wore them out in this way. Not so with the Kinvara. I go to the gym 6 days a week and wear my shoes every other day. I believe I’ve had my first pair for about a year. They still look and feel fantastic. Obviously, I highly recommend the Kinvara. And whatever you changed, Saucony engineers, great job!
I was a Kinvara wearer when the original was released and remained one through the first 7 iterations. I’ve tried a few models since with varying degrees of success/enjoyment. The 15 is better than some of the less desirable versions, but not close to the original or any of the best. It’s a good shoe, not a great one. I always thought the Kinvara would be an all time great running shoe. It has not lived up to my expectations. In the age of super stack height and max cushion trainers, the Kinvara could be THE alternative, but it is merely AN alternative. That’s disappointing.
I bought to pair of these and I rotate them out. Really like the shoe with the 4mm drop. I had been running in zero drops and was really worried about the change so far I'm good.
Ever since I discovered Saucony running shoes, I have loved them. In the last 10 years I have kept at least two pairs in my rotation at any time. This is my first pair of Kinvara and the truth is that they are beautiful shoes. My runs are wonderful on these shoes. Toe box is perfect and the low drop feels great. Why 4 stars? well, the only drawback was that these white beauties have a dark (burgundy) stripe on on the back and the color bled to the white after just the first run. It did not resist the sweat. I am a little disappointed because of this.
This is almost back to the perfect shoe with the exception of 2 items. 1st the collar around your Achilles and ankle is slightly too stiff. 2nd there is no tab or anything to grab to help pull the shoes up on the back of your foot. I love the return to a lower stack height. The shoe is flexible and has good cushion without losing your feel underfoot. These would have been back to how I felt about the K12's or It's with those minor changes. I have over 30 pairs of kinvara dating back to the K2's.
