I've been using Saucony for years, but for the last year I've been using their stability shoes. The new Guide 19s are great shoes; their excellent comfort helps on long runs. You can feel the rebound effect without sacrificing stability. I wore my old Guide 17s for up to 800 km and they still have great grip on the sole.
Bought as super shoes to alternate with hurricane as a plush high mileage trainer. Doing a great job. Well fitting lighter too.
I have been buying the Guide for many years. I feel like they keep improving it in subtle ways but the main design keeps performing. Have 30-ish miles on these anlready and they’ve been fantastic from the first step.
I’ve been using the Guide 19 for about 30 days, running 4 days a week. The Guide 19 is the most comfortable and stable running shoe I’ve ever used. Period. My knees were starting to ache with prior shoes, and at age 69, I thought my running days might be behind me. Within 3 runs with the Guide 19, all the pain in my knees was gone and is still going strong. The cushioning is spot on without feeling "mushy," while the platform provides a solid base under me. It’s the perfect balance of protection, support, and comfort.
Currently, after a few weeks of use, the Guide 19 feels comfortable and stable. The shoe is lightweight and I would recommend it for anyone with lymphoedema or foot-related issues. The primary reason for this recommendation is the comfort and cushioning of the shoe. I am a leisure runner, so my aim is not always to achieve personal bests with every run. However, this does not mean the shoe does not provide assistance; in fact, comfort can contribute to improved performance.
I've numerous pairs of Saucony shoes and have always recommended them to my friends and family. But, not anymore. While im sure the comfort and durability are still there, the price has blown up ridiculously. I guess this is how the the term "supply and demand" keeps the ball rolling, the markups are ridiculus and lots of former loyal customers have to look elsewhere for something affordable. Another example of greedy s a executives at Saucony....sad.
This is the first time I bought wide over regular size and it’s the first time I don’t have blisters and callouses on side of my big toes. I do not have wide feet but the wide shoe size really allows to spread your toes out in the roomier toe box. The shoe provides great support and cushioning. I am a heavier runner at 220 pounds, and this allows me to run while only feeling mild soreness in my feet the next morning.
I’ve had my shoes for almost a month and they are incredible. I looked up reviews that rated the cushion on this shoes very highly and these are easily the most comfortable shoes I’ve worn in my life. Additionally, after going from running in regular shoes to true running shoes I was shocked at how light these shoes are made. I can never go back to running in anything but these shoes.
This is my second pair of saucony Guide 19s that I’ve purchased. I train for marathons and these are the most comfortable support shoe I’ve worn. I already have 150 miles on them and will be purchasing another pair.
