I’ve only had these a few weeks and maybe run in them 3 or 4 times so far and part of the tread on the bottom is peeling off. I noticed on my last pair the tread is all ONE PIECE but the new ones there’s two small strips of tread pieces that are glued on. One of the strips the glue has come off and the tread piece is now flapping.
Comfortable shoe but the dark colored midsole on the Grey/Shadow colorway has gotten damaged very easily after less than 50 miles of running which has resulted in white spots and accelerated wear on the shoe.
I have been running in Triumphs for over 20 years! I took a break from the line and changed to the Endorphin Shift 3 for my daily trainer, which I fell in love with and bought up a few extra pairs when they were discontinued. I then went back to Triumph but haven't cared for the most recent models (22) and quickly started looking for new line as I didn't care for them....but then ya'll released the 23s and I gave them a try and I AM IN LOVE! These are fabulous shoes and my only recommendation is to please make more bright colors (yellow or orange)...as a women I ended up buying the men's Citron. Thanks for a great shoe...my feet are in heaven!
I've had the shoes for two months running anywhere from 35 to 50miles per work. As an avid runner and former wear of this shoe I was excited to wear them again. The shoe itself has a very smooth transition from heel to toe (for us heel strikers) and plenty of cushion to allow you to do those long runs. In general this shoe is amazing for logging those daily miles. However, there is one big issue that I've had with this years model which is the upper. The Upper simply soaks in the sweat from my feet and holds it bringing the weight higher every mile and at times taking days to dry up. Not a fan of putting on wet shoes in the morning when I go for a run.
I’ve been loyal to brooks over the years. This is the first purchase I’ve made from Saucony, and I felt like I was FLYING in these shoes. So comfortable, good. It of room for toes but also super stable. I love the balance of cushion and spring back that you get from these. I’m OBSESSED.
The (nearly) perfect daily trainer is back. Triumphs 19-21 were my favorite trainers and do-it-all shoes and the 23 should please those who were fans of those models as well. These shoes are a bit different than the 19-21 line, but the triumph DNA that we all love is there. The only knock I have on the shoes is that on long, hot days moisture builds up between the insole and the shoe and the insole will slide around. I never had those issues with previous triumphs or any other shoes I've owned honestly. Hopefully this issue goes away with more use. Otherwise this is a 5 star shoe.
The shoe is very comfortable and I like the fit better than my previous Triumph 21. The only downside is that the dark color of the outsole is only on the surface so any abrasion to that area reveals a white spot.
I was having serious foot pain. Assumed I’d need surgery. I tried this shoe because it has a wide toe box and a lot of cushion. And I have a bunion. I had no expectations that a sneaker would make much difference. But all my pain has gone away while wearing this shoe. I’m actually shocked. I never write reviews but had to for this one!
I was looking forward to the release of the Triumph 23 and hoped it would continue where the Triumph 22 left off ..... a trend toward more space within the shoe. Instead, the Saucony Triumph 23 did just the opposite and narrowed the shoe substantially. There is a place in the market for a Triumph-like shoe with more room for the feet. I currently choose to use the Saucony Echelon 9 (for now) because of the room it offers.I'm led to believe the Echelon 10 will be doing the same. While the Echelon remains a viable option for me presently, it is by no means the Triumph.
Bottom of shoe pulled apart after 12 miles of walking.
