Great value.
I usually take a nalgene and single-walled steel cups with me when I'm backpacking. I finally broke down and went to buy a coffee cup. I walked in looking for an enamel cup, and after failing to find one, I bought this as it was $12 on sale and about the size of an enamel coffee cup. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it insulates pretty well, and the lid works well. It's a definite upgrade from an enamel cup, as it will keep your drink warm for 2-3 times longer. The insulation isn't as good as a yeti, as the outer wall will be a little warm to the touch, but if you're upgrading from an uninsulated cup you'll be pleasantly surprised. For $12, this was a great deal, and it'd be worth every part of $20 but not much more.
Works great with Aeropress
I love this cup and use it with my Aeropress every morning. It's nice and sturdy, and with the lid on I sip my coffee while I'm putting on my makeup before heading into the office. It keeps the coffee temperature to my liking, which is not super hot, and I like that the exterior of the cup doesn't get hot like ceramic. I have it in 2 colors and wash by hand - I also like that the lid is no-nonsense without moving parts. I was first introduced to these cups when I participated in one of the REI Adventures hiking trips to Pacific NW, so it brings back fond memories. I prefer the basic design to the more colorful designs.
Good mug
Says 12 ounces but actually closer to 14 filled to the brim. Definitely not insulated as well as Hydro flask or yeti but that’s what I wanted. The 20 ounce yeti I’ve had for years keeps the coffee too hot so I have to remove the lid for it to cool off to a comfortable drinking temperature. That’s annoying when driving, walking the dogs etc. This will slowly let the coffee cool down so I can enjoy it with the lid on.
Great mug for camping, hiking or the office.
This mug is a perfect blend of thermos and mug. It will dissipate heat at a slow rate so that if it is cold outside it will still stay hot; however, it will still give you the "Warm mug" feel that makes a morning cup of coffee special.
lukewarm
Nice looking mug that seems to be durable. But compared with other double-wall insulated mugs, this one is not great for keeping liquids hot. I'm going to return this and spend a few more bucks on a Hydro Flask or Klean Kanteen.
New favorite on and off trail
I bought this a few months ago when the old logo was on sale for $12. Didn’t anticipate loving it as much as I do. Light enough to carry, super easy to clean, and fits in a cup holder (have to remove the insert in my 4Runner to accommodate the handle, but it sits in it nicely enough otherwise, even tilted). No, it won’t keep things warm as long as a 20oz travel mug, but this shouldn’t come as a surprise. That has just as much to do with the mass of liquid keeping itself warm as it does the mug. I always finish my drink before it has changed significantly in temperature. Get compliments on it frequently, and my favorite barista has been eyeing it, so I think I may get another. Suits my needs a lot better than a larger mug, as I really don’t need to be drinking that much coffee, nor do I want to carry something that big around anyway. Enjoy taking it out camping as it fits anywhere and is convenient for everything from coffee to scrambling eggs, or mixing pancake batter.
Not worth it
Hmm, disappointed. I bought two of these, and I was hoping they would keep my coffee and tea hot for hours as the product description says. Not the case. I used these in the house (temp set at 70F), and not outside. My coffee/tea was lukewarm after 30 minutes with the lid on. The outside of the mug gets hot to the touch, so I am not sure how it's 'Double-wall vacuum insulation.' They seem durable, but they did not meet my expectations. Good car-camping mugs as they are well-constructed and can be packed with other camp kitchen stuff without worrying about breakage.
Great camping cup!
Easy to clean, nice sized cup. Love the style as well
Solid product for price
As a lot of other reviews mention, this does not compete with a Yeti or Hydroflask mug, so if you’re looking for that, probably just buy one of those. It feels durable and functions as an insulated mug. It keeps my coffee warm longer than a typical ceramic mug. The lid does not have a slider or other seal. I wasn’t looking for anything as robust as the other brands (or as expensive) so I’m happy with this product.
The perfect coffee cup does exist
Great coffee cup that fits in my jeep cup holder. This is the perfect size coffee cup if you’re wanting something more manageable other than the bigger more expensive cups out there.
