Decent mugs
Great for the price, but the paint doesn't seem to be the highest quality. If it was easier to return right now (on pandemic lockdown) I would, because the individual mugs are better quality than the two pack.
Sub-par heat retention
Grabbed these cups as a cheaper alternative to Miir mugs, and the REI ones underperformed significantly. Coffee gets cold significantly faster than other vacuum mugs of the same size/design.
Ok. But the smaller old model was better.
I preferred the smaller previous model. Smaller is better. The handle is squared off vs. round on the old REI cups. No doubt the newer is cheaper to make and it does not feel as good in the hand. This cup seems best suited for the 45-foot motorhome "camping" people who gravitate to large solutions. Bigger is not better.
Car Coco
Great for the kids for hot coco in the car; it is the lids. Cool to touch with a hot beverage inside.
