  • Cyclone construction wraps the synthetic insulation around the bag in efficient, compressible, vertical baffles
  • Fully insulated hood with a cinch collar helps seal out chilly breezes and keep your head warm
  • Shockcords on back of the bag attach to your sleeping pad so the pad will stay in place while you sleep

  • Non-PFC durable water repellent (DWR) finish finish sheds moisture

Imported.

Temperature ratings are intended as a guideline to help you compare products, rather than a guarantee of warmth, since many different factors contribute to your comfort while you sleep. Backpacking bags are typically rated for temperature according to an independent testing protocol—currently International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 23537, though some older items followed European Norm (EN) 13537. Testing is based on a person wearing one base layer and a pair of socks, sleeping on an insulated surface with a minimum R-value of 5.38.

Each bag then gets 2 ratings: the Comfort rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "cold sleeper" comfortable, and the Lower Limit rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "warm sleeper" comfortable. Some brands determine their own temperature rating by aligning to the Comfort rating for women’s bags, to the Lower Limit rating for men’s bags, or somewhere in the middle for nongendered bags.

Great Value - not so tiny package

I’ve had this pack since Dec 2022 and it’s served me well so far. It’s doesn’t stuff as small as a down bag but no other synthetics compare. I find it extremely comfortable and it fits me (5’11’’ 165 lbs) perfectly. It’s mummy shaped so you won’t be able to move you’re feet around and it’s not great for side sleepers but for sleeping on your back it’s perfect. Its go the classic trade off of down vs synthetic: cheaper price for a larger and heavier pack but I think this one does a great job making you forget it’s not down.

Can pack down smaller!

Iv had the long version for 3 seasons now, it's been great! Before I got it I read some reviews that where critical of the stuff sack...they said it seamed like it didn't reach its smallest pack down size in the provided bag. So I got a 10L roll top dry bag with air escape valve and it pack down into that much smaller(as seen in the pic beside the provided bag). Although I don't and wouldn't keep it in the dry bag long, just while um tripping. After the trips I keep it in the storage bag that came with the bag to keep it nice and loftee the last trip I was on I fully unzipped it..put my feet in the toe box and used it as a quilt in between me and my r4 insulated sleeping pad, which is essential to get the temp rating out of any sleeping bagstill loving the cats meow after 3 years!

Ripped hood

My 9 year old loved this. But, after about 10 uses the stitching in the hood ripped. Then a rip on the bag. Emailed x2, with no response about warranty.

Bought 4 of them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It started with the 1st one for my daughter. She was warm, cozy, and the hand warmer is cool! She grew to be a taller kid, so I wanted it so she had more space for a blanket on the end, so I got her the long one and gave the other one to my youngest. We will finally be camping as a family and decided to buy 2 more, one for each of my boys. I love the north face brand camp gear. My husband and I have the inferno sleeping bags, so the family is set!

Love it!!! Soft, warm, roomy!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I camp in the Boundary Waters 4-5 times a year in Summer, Winter, and Fall. So far I've used this bag on 3 summer trips and absolutely love it. It's incredibly soft and I kept it open - more as a quilt, with my feet in the bottom. I love the half up zipper and so glad I ordered it long. I'm 6 foot and love that it is a little roomier as a long bag. Can't wait to bring it in the Fall. This bag is definitely the Cat's MEOW!!!

Love this sleeping bag!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've loved mine so much over the years that i had to get it as a gift for my friend. Its is great for all weather and held up nicely over my cross country trip. my friend was ecstatic and can't wait to use it this winter! Only downside is that it is not ideal for backpacking due to its size but other than that it is a 10/10.

Not the right bag for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I returned this sleeping bag. I did not like how most of the fill was on top and how sparse it was on bottom. The bag also felt really restrictive size wise even though I am slender and below average weight for my height. The zipper also snagged on the fabric. All in all I definitely don't recommend this bag.

Great product - mine is still in use after 50+ years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this product back in the late 1970's, and it's served me well for over 50 years - and still going. There aren't many products that would be serviceable after 50 years of regular use, and fewer still that are still being produced after all those years.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The floor of our faulty tent was still somewhat wet when it was bedtime due to rain leakage during the day, but when it was bedtime and we laid out our bags the inside of this sleeping bag stayed dry through the night!
