Surprisingly warm and wind stopping

I got this fleece thinking it would be a lighter weight mid layer and extra warm cardigan indoors but I underestimated it! The fleece is super dense. It kept me warm as an outer layer even in the bitter northeast winds that blow off of Lake Superior in the winter - I've never had another fleece that those winds didn't penetrate. Usually, I have to choose function over fashion on winter days so I really enjoyed having a more casual looking (check the bomber-jacket style) outer layer this winter that had the technical chops to keep me comfortable and warm.

love this jacket

I love this fleece. It’s so comfy and cute. It’s really warm without being too bulky. The inside is not the same material, it’s regular fleece. I ordered my normal size and it fits great.

Cozy, but inconsistent sizing

This fleece jacket is super cozy! I love the colour, and, surprisingly, that it doesn't have a collar-so many of my jackets do, so it's nice to switch it up. Plus the jacket is plenty warm as is. It would be perfect, but just wish the sizing was more consistent. I'm a medium in other OR tops, but had previously tried this on in a store and a small fit perfectly, with the loose, relaxed, slouchier fit that is shown on the product page. I should have bought that specific one, as the small I ordered ended up being a bit larger (longer sleeves, extra material around the shoulder seams, so it doesn't hang as nicely and looks bulkier). Perhaps it's a variation/error in the garment that didn't work out in my favour. It's still really cozy, though, so I kept it.

cozy jacket

So comfortable, warm, and really cute. I often get compliments on it. I bought a Medium and probably could have gone with Small, but I can wear bulky sweaters under it. Another plus is that it doesn't show dog hair! It doesn't protect your neck much, so need to wear a scarf.

Keeping warm is important!

I bought this sweater as a fall layer of warmth for the days on the boat where you want to feel warm and cozy in the wind and chilly weather. The thick shearling is warm and piled high! It is a bit of a bulky layer, so be prepared for not quite as much movement as a soft fleece, but it does keep the cold out. The extra thick shearling style fleece is a thick synthetic that does a great job of cutting the wind. The cuffs at the sleeves keep the extra fabric out of the way and the pockets all zip keeping your treasures secure. I have worn the jacket as both an outer layer and as a insulation layer under a large puffy jacket. I purchased my normal size (medium) but could have almost dropped to a small due to the larger fit. The only reason I didn't give a 5/5 was the stiffness of the fabric, but that is a personal preference for me.

Runs super large

I had high hopes for this jacket based on the brand. But it is truly oversized or labeled in error. I am a true Womens Medium (5’4” 145 pounds, curvy). This jacket is large in shoulders, chest, length of arms, total length. It is sized and shaped more for a Men’s Medium or larger. It is quite heavy. It would be more useful as an outer jacket than a midlayer, which is what I was looking for. I wish I had known. Now I have to pay return shipping.

Returned this jacket.

I returned this jacket. very heavy fleece, not like the softer light fleece I am accustomed to. That would have been ok but the zipper comes up 4 inches too short, not designed well to keep the all important neck warm. would need a scarf to use if there were any wind at all. The jacket is big and bulky, the design is questionable overall. suggest OR take a closer looks at their designs.

Not my color

Ordered this jacket and went back and forth between Fog and this darker green. Chose the green for something that would stay clean on a hike, but The color shown on the site is not the color of the jacket. It is not a forest green with blue hues as shown , but a yellowing green that looks a bit like, well yellowish green pea soup or worse. It is awful. I can't wear it without looking yellow. I have dark brown hair and green eyes and it is a big NO. I called to see if I could just exchange it, as they had the other color in a small (also they run big, I am 5'9" and 135 and a small is roomy and bulky, not a great fit either) and was told that since it was clearance I could not exchange it but they would let the web team know about the off color. Sad to hear that, as I love the OR products but this is the first time I have not been able to exchange a bad product straight across for another color or another item.

Super soft, but a bit of an odd fit

This fleece jacket is very soft and cozy. It fits BIG. The sleeve are very long and super baggy. The hips fit but there is a lot of extra fabric around the waist that bags out at the back. I am considering exchanging for a smaller size, but will probably keep it because I prefer it in the black and there are none left. I would recommend sizing down in this jacket.

My new favorite OR jacket

I have a small build and I got a medium because I knew I wanted to layer underneath. It's very warm, stylish but outdoorsy too. I love the green color because it's not your typical "olive" green it's more of a mossy green which switches up the wardrobe. Highly recommend if you are looking for a warm comfy jacket to throw on over layers.
