Salsa Warroad C 105 Bike
Built to perform on the roads while still being fully capable of off-pavement pursuits, the Salsa Warroad C 105 bike is for riders who don't define a road ride by the surfaces they travel.
Key Details

- Carbon frame with an oversize bottom bracket junction, deeper-section down tube and 415 mm chainstays creates a more responsive yet forgiving bike when accelerating
- Endurance all-road geometry with a slack head tube angle and long-offset fork provides increased stability when the road turns rough
- Class 5â„¢ Vibration Reduction System features tall, thin, vertically oriented seatstays that promote vertical compliance by "flexing" outward on impacts
- Horizontally oriented chainstays work to resist torque and maintain a laterally stiff rear end
- Lack of seatstay and chainstay bridges allows the full length of the stays to contribute to flexibility, while the rear thru axle ensures precise tracking
- Warroad Carbon fork with 12 x 100 mm front thru axle and side-mounted 3-pack mounts; compatible with fender and rack (not included)
- 142 x 12 mm thru-axle dropouts; compatible with rear fender and rear rack (not included)
- Top tube mount for Salsa EXP Direct Mount Top Tube Bag or K-Edge computer mount (not included); accessory mount on the underside of the down tube
- 2 water bottle mounts in the main triangle on 49–55 cm frames; 3 water bottle mounts in the main triangle on 56–61 cm frames
- Dropper post compatible when used with 1x drivetrains (mechanical or electronic); dropper post not included
- Comes equipped with 700c wheels but is also compatible with 650b wheels (not included)

Light, Supple and Fast
Best bike I've ever owned! All the components are very lightweight, the shifting is quick and precise. The slightly wider tires are perfect for any areas with cobblestones or mixed-use park trails.
A nice bike!
The carbon frame is like a giant shock absorber, the 32mm tires really are soft and supple, and the disk brakes stop the bike on a dime. I used it on RAGBRAI this year and it was a very pleasant ride. I recommend NOT mail ordering the bike from REI. Mine arrived two weeks late--improperly assembled and out of adjustment. Buy it at one of the REI stores!
Good bike but the REI bike shop was just terrible
Five stars for the bike and one star for service from REI bike shop. Good bike but poor service from REI bike shop. The bike specs work for me because I wanted a carbon bike with 105 that I could add a rear rack and extra bag without a problem. Also, the 49cm size fits me (5'2" with a 28" inseam (short with stubby legs)). The REI bike shop I picked it up from did not have the time or interest in making any adjustments to the bike and there was an issue with the assembly that I had to correct at home. The bike has been great but my experience with the REI bike shop was not good. It is a shame because the bike shop at the same REI was top notch when I bought a bike at REI in 2017. It is sad to see service decline.
Poor Wheels Out of the Box
The WTB ST i21 TCS wheels on this bike are horrible. I have already had 3 spokes break and the bike is less than 1 year old. This is ridden on paved roads within the VRS 5 rating. Salsa says its normal wear and tear and won't cover this.
The Great Road Warrior
Great bike, does everything well, comfortable on long rides. Best bike ever
