They're great.

These gloves work amazingly well. There is a battery pack, and it needs to go somewhere. So it goes on the wrist. There is not adapter, nothing these days comes with ana adapter, its just the way it is. So all the complaints are on those issues and not on the performance. They heat when I need head and they heat well when I need it.

Works Great for Me!

These are poorly reviewed by others but work great for me. The battery pack is not hard to get used to (has to go somewhere) and they work really well. To be fair, I have not tried to fine tune them or have even been interested in trying. I just use the first or second setting, and they cut the cold and work great. They work great in all my gloves except my spring gloves which is fine since I wouldn't need a heated liner in those temps.

Underwhelming

I have never tried heated gloves before, and found the big clunky battery pack on the back of my wrist very annoying. Reminded me of brick-sized early cell phones. In a few years I'm sure the technology will improve, but meanwhile I'm not going to enjoy these. I am grateful for REI's great return policy.

A total Failure

I cannot imagine how a reputable company like HESTRA would put their name on this poor excuse for a product. I have used HESTRA Heli Ski gloves for years and I swear by them. I thought they would make a great heated liner, but I was dead wrong. These are so bad I don't know where to start. First, they claim to be tactile. They have a tactile pad on the tip of the index finger only. The pad is stiff, and it slides around on the fingertip. I tried to use it with my Android phone, but it would not activate the touch screen. It did work haphazardly sometimes. Since you must use the app to get full functionality the poor tactile response makes it impossible to adjust the heat. The batteries charge via USB (no charger supplied). The instructions said ALL USB chargers will work but some might be slow to charge the batteries. This is false. The slow chargers only charge the liners to about half full before they shut down. You must have a USB fast charger to fully charge the batteries. The batteries are big and awkward. They are hard to install on the wrists and a very clunky. The cuffs with the batteries would not fit under the sleeves of my wife's ski jacket at all. You can't wear a watch with these gloves due to the battery location. After battling with all the problems these liners have, the heat output is modest to say the least and only lasts a few hours. Just don't bother. These are going back to REI

No adaptor included

So, order this item because I love Hestra gloves and my wife’s hands get cold even though she has the Hestra split finger gloves. First item received had no charger adaptor included. After 30 minutes with REI customer support I was sent a second pair. Opened immediately and still no charger adaptor. I think this is why they are on sale. I don’t know if REIs fault or Hestra.

No Adaptor Included 2x!!

There is a serious quality control issue and I don’t know if it is Hestra or REI’s problem. My husband ordered these for me for Christmas, but the box did not have the adaptor. We returned them and ordered a second set in January which ALSO did not have an adaptor. Like Sad in Cali, we are very disappointed.

Poor Quality Control

I got them in December, but it wasn't cold enough to use them until mid-January. I charged them up, went to put the battery packs into the gloves, and found that one glove had the wrong connector. I wrote to Customer Service, but it has been a week and I've not heard back except the auto-reply that they got my message.
