Too delicate for active wear

I decided to give AirMesh a try. Well, I found that it is not practical active wear top. Pros: it weights nothing, but still warm if you add a windbreaker on top of this shirt. Cons: even light wind will make you feel chilly; the fabric doesn't keep shape; only delicate wash and no dryer care; doesn't feel nice to skin; the fabric is easy to peel and break. Caspian color appear dull, more greyish green (not bright blue/green as on the picture). I didn't find this item to be versatile. I only use it as backup top and carry it in my backpack in case I need extra layer. The fit is loose, but I would not size down if you use it as light mid layer.

Shockingly Warm but Light - Going to be a great base layer this winter

Just received this today and so far am very excited about the quarter zip. It is SHOCKINGLY light weight but very warm. The inside is "fuzzy" of sorts and keeps me very warm. Wind seems to pass easily through so this is a base layer for sure. I have a 6'2" wingspan and have trouble finding sleeves that are long enough. With the added length of the thumbholes, it fits my arm length well, but the holes aren't useful for me (par for the course with my arm length). I am typically between a small and a medium with bigger hips. I purchased the small and it's still pretty loose on me.

A great light layer for lower temperatures

I’m a daily runner with temps from high 20s to mid 40s. I’ve enjoyed wearing this shirt on top of an under armor, mock turtleneck, with a windbreaker on top. It adds a light layer of warmth, is very comfortable, and helps my 65-year-old body to have a good run Without feeling over burdened by clothing.

Fantastic cold weather baselayer

It's only early Dec but it's been very cold already in Alaska. I bought this primarily for cross country skiing but I've been wearing it to work outside too, all day down to -20F. I've worn it 20 or so days so far and no signs of wear. It's extremely light weight, very warm and controls moisture very well, greatly increasing comfort and safety at those temperatures. I am 5'11" and the arms fit well although the torso could be an inch or two longer. I could size up easily though as it's so soft and light. I reach for it every day. I'll probably be getting another one of these!

ultralight!

Finally an ultralight layer and for women. I bought a medium but need a small my husband immediately grabbed it and put it on. Fit is on loose side so I will get a small for me. I prefer the hoodie version for backpacking.

Excellent piece, runs large

I'm very happy with this top. I originally purchased the hooded version and loved it, and was very happy to see it available as a 1/2 zip too. Both versions run large, I recommend sizing down. I normally wear a medium, and ordered a small in both. The thumb holes are nice and the sleeves are long enough for them not to cause a hand wedgie (I have particularly long arms, so I'm particularly happy about this.) As another reviewer mentioned, this really feels like spun unicorn hair, very soft, impossibly lightweight. It has zero wind resistance but when layered underneath something else, it provides incredible warmth for its lightness. I've worn it under the Kor preshell pullover, and it's an excellent combo for a cool breezy day. Nice piece to wear over a tank on a chilly day inside, breathes very well of course, and overall looks and wears great.

Warm & Breathable

I bought this for the days when it's cold at the trailhead but you warm up throughout the hike and so far, it's been perfect for that use. The fuzziness on the inside helps to insulated but the mesh perforations allow for a lot of breathability. The product listing showed it as running small but I order my usual size Medium and I actually find it to be slightly large in the shoulders and sleeves.

Nice for a winter run

I love Mountain Hardware, so I picked up this top for my winter running. It is great under my running shells and has kept me warm in icy temperatures. It fits a little big. I typically wear a small shirt and am a size 4. I bought the small size and it is fairly loose and the arms are a little long. Even so, I like the extra fabric and it doesn't seem to affect the performance.

Technically perfect!!

This is a truly innovative fabric....it cools and keeps you warm!! Air passes through the mesh weave and the little cilia-like fibers keep the a layer of warm air next to your skin while also allowing for evaporation cooling effect. As described it is a single layer that will work for many climates-mine is So Cal is temperate so this will get a lot of use, but for the extreme temps you will need to adapt. . Cut/fit of the product is great, a little loser than a lot of technical wear, but shape follows curves and the slight gathering at the bottom keeps the line of the cut very flattering. At 5'10" I am always running into sleeves and body length that are too short--this one is a complete winner on both counts. I usually lean toward earth colors, but I found the warm Cala color is very flattering and is very visible on the trail which is a plus. Very pleased and will add another to my wardrobe.
