A solid pair of basic sunglasses

I've worn these sunglasses for about 3 weeks now in various conditions. Partly cloudy, liquid sunshine (PNW), hazy days, sunny days and everything in between. As such, I think I've ran them through their paces enough to share my feedback. This review is broken into 3 categories. Quality, performance, and design. Quality: These sunglasses are made from a durable plastic design as you might expect given the price tag. This helps to keep them very lightweight which increases comfort and also means I'm not as afraid to drop them or wear them when doing activities that might lead to them getting banged up. I did manage to drop them on pavement while longboarding and they did not scratch, so +1 there. Performance: They're polarized and it does an excellent job. If you're looking at these you're likely considering them because you need a good, inexpensive solid pair of polarized sunglasses. These fit the bill. You'll have added clarity on reflective surfaces and more detail. Design: Probably the second, or arguably the most important feature of sunglasses, is the design and how they fit your face. I have an oval, more narrow face and nobody has ever accused me of having a big head. These sunglasses are decent if you're in the same boat as me, but they do emphasis the length of your face. They were bigger than I expected in person so bear that in mind, best to try them on in a store if you have one near you, but I wouldn't be afraid of ordering them either given REI's excellent return policy. I would personally prefer if they were slightly smaller, but some may prefer them the way they are. Overall these are a solid choice for an inexpensive polarized pair of sunglasses for go everywhere do anything and being unconcerned about heart ache surrounding breaking or losing them. 4/5 will wear again

Good color preservation while keeping glare out

Used these sunnies on a 40mi backcountry loop in King's Canyon. They do a great job preserving the colors while keeping out the glare. Part of the trail had us climbing through a 12000 ft alpine pass with icy / slushy snow conditions. My eyes would have been burnt without the Suncloud sunnies. There are other styles I'd prefer for my smaller and more oval face shape, but better safe than stylish ;)

Lightweight protection

I received free product in exchange for an honest review. Overall, I like these sunglasses. They are lightweight and over really good protection against the sun. My one complaint is, and I'm not sure if it's because of the polarization, when I look at windows that have been tinted, like the ones in my car, I can see a sort of rainbow effect that I've never seen through any of my other sunglasses. It did take some getting used to a straight ear piece, as well, my other glasses are all more curved to fit differently behind the ear. Now that I've been wearing them for 2 weeks, I would say overall I like them. However, I don't think they're worth $55, maybe closer to $35-40. One more note: I have literally never in my life had someone compliment me on my sunglasses until this pair, so there's that!

Lightweight casual sunglasses

These are my third pair of Suncloud sunglasses because I lose sunglasses too often. As usual, they come with a cloth bag (no hardcase) and a microfiber cleaning cloth. I use these daily while driving and when I'm hiking. What I liked: 1. Polarized - I can never go back to non-polarized sunglasses again. It makes everything look better. 2. Good coverage - Wide enough lenses so light isn't poking through the sides. This is useful when you're at higher elevation and there's more UV exposure. 3. Lightweight - Heavy glasses are uncomfortable for me after a while.

Great Sunglasses for Those that are Active

Suncloud Topsail Polarized Sunglasses are great for active individuals. They are lightweight, not loose fitting yet don't squeeze and the lenses are dark enough to provide adequate shade from the sun. The nose portion is molded so, for those with longer hair, you can prop on your head without your hair getting tangled. They are great all activities from boating and running to hiking and horseback riding (I've used in all situations)! I do recommend these sunglasses.

Nice lightweight sunglasses

I'm really liking these sunglasses. They have good optics that don't give me any eye strain like some other lesser quality sunglasses tend to. The frames are nice and light and very comfortable. I can wear them all day long and forget that they're even on.

No good for polarizing

I bought these for fishing in hopes to remove glare and reflection from the surface of the water and better see what is below the surface. The polarization does not seem to help whatsoever with these glasses. I’m a photographer so I pulled out a $40 polarizer filter constructed of glass and metal and it did a much better job at polarizing than these $50 sunglasses. Other than that they seem fine!

Lightweight and clear

The first feeling when wearing it is very light. And it is very clear. Largely due to its polarized lens, but overall design works well. For glasses, you know whether you want to keep wearing it or not. I really like this one, and I'm wearing it every day, especially when driving. Fitting may vary from person to person, but they fit me very well, and the light doesn't leak at all. The polarized lens definitely blocks direct sunlight while driving toward the South, and even when worn for a long time on a sunny day, the eyes are very comfortable. In addition, it is very light, so it is not uncomfortable at all to wear. Even though I don't normally wear glasses (I only wear sunglasses only at very sunny days), after a few minutes of wearing this product, I forget that I'm wearing it. I have worn several brands of aviator-style sunglasses for decades. I want to say that these are very good quality sunglasses.

Great Sunglasses that I Used and Abused Summer '22

I received these sunglasses in May of 2022. So sorry that it's taken me until August 2022 to write this review. It was because I went "out west" for many months exploring the Southwestern USA...so I really got to put these sunglasses to the test. It was a busy 3 + months. I have been to the area many times and knew I need excellent eye protection because of the constant sun (and of course, heat). These Suncloud Topsail Polarized Sunglasses were perfect and held up very well. I had no issues with them at all. I liked how light they were. Many times I forgot they were on my face. I found that when sweating they also held tight on my nose too. The fact that these glasses are priced very nicely I found myself using them even more. Sometimes when you have very expensive sunglasses, you tend to baby them. I did not want to worry about that on this extended trip - losing or breaking expensive glasses. Half the time i just threw them in my backpack where they bounced around and they were A-OK livin' that life. These sunglasses protected my eyes in the super bright and sunny areas around the Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion, Las Vegas and more. Now me and the sunglasses are handling the city life in NYC, still going strong. I've had Suncloud sunglasses before - and it's great to see that they're still making a high quality product. I'm sure I'll have these glasses for a long time. Thanks and again, sorry for they delayed review - I was SO busy in the Southwest this is the first time I've had to write this review. Thanks for reading.

Great looking polarized sunglasses!

Wore them everyday for the last 2 weeks Pros: Lightweight Polarized protection Looks good and fits well Cons: The polarizing tint makes color a bit distorted which makes it not as realistic as real life The handle fits on the ear a bit weird at first, but you kind of get used to it or “break it in” after a few times Overall, would recommend!
