manufacturing defect
 The SoundCloud sunglasses are a favorite in our family. Unfortunately, the pair that we purchased had an arm that was not attached to the lenses. It was clearly a manufacturing defect on the arm, as there was no through hole for the screw and no screw attached. Fortunately, REI has agreed to simply replace the glasses because it’s a low dollar amount, but shame on SoundCloud for not catching us in quality control. It is an obvious error.
