Excellent for one person

Less than 1kg and good performance in all weather conditions, thus is an excellent choice for the outdoor activities as hiking, hunting or high-mountain exploration. All the best from Norway

Nice 4 season bivy

Construction, low weight and ease of use are great. I wish it were high enough to sit up in.

Packs down small and works well

I work in wildland fire and the module that I'm on uses the Bipod Bivy to live in all summer (5 people all use the bipod bivy). This is the 2nd season of use and I typically camp 4-6 months out of the year. As far as durability goes it has held up very well. I was apprehensive about the way the material (ToddTex) felt on the inside of the shelter, but it has not given us any problems. It packs down smaller than the other 2 bivy sack that I own (OR and Big Agnes). Set up is easy enough, in areas that you can't use tent stakes you have to get creative, but the large loops on the corners make it easy to put rocks or logs through them. One of the comments I read talked about leaking, and after 2 seasons testing 5 of the same bivy we have not had any issues with leaking.

Perfect light-weight adventure tent. Slept like a baby.

For reference, I'm 6'0 & 175lbs. Took this to Baja, Mexico, on a surf & kitesurf trip. It was very windy at night (40+ knots) and it not only survived, but it thrived (compared to my friends tents that got destroyed). Ear plugs are nice to have since any tent makes a lot of noice with that much wind on it. Feels super durable & I expect it will last for a very long time - like all of my Black Diamond gear.

Solid 4 Season Bivy

Took this to RMNP and used it at a bivy site near Sky Pond. Was rained on the first night and in a sleet/rain storm the second afternoon. It did the job well and kept me and all the the gear I managed to shove inside of it dry. No condensation on anything on the inside either. Great capability for the weight. Much more capable than the spotlight bivy which a friend of mine had and didn’t perform as well.

Larger packed size but quality construction.

I bought this Bivy because it was a 4 season solution, the only draw back is that the packed size is a little larger than I may have wanted but if you roll it tightly, you can shave off a few inches than the advertised specs. The tent is spacious for a Bivy and seems to be very quality materials. The only odd part is that it did not include the 4 stakes needed to secure to the ground.

Dangerous

I was sleeping in one of these in Alaska in a down sleeping bag. Condensation is a real issue - it does not breathe adequately at all and leaves the base wet in the morning (in dry weather). Then one night the rain came down, and the bivy started to leak over my chest, rendering my sleeping bag useless in the middle of the night. Steer clear.

Great stuff!

This bivy is fantastic and there's so much room inside for what it is. Granted I'm small, but there's enough room for me to sit up on my elbows, roll over and read a book if I want. Also, the bug net layer is great. It sets up in no time and it's perfect for weekend trips. In the moisture it stays dry inside and in the heat it stays cool.

The Bivy to Rule them All

Out of all the Bivys you could get this is probably the most comfortable one on the market. The pole makes it more comfortable having the bivy off your face. This also seems to make it easier for venting and reducing condensation. I haven’t used it in cold weather yet but looking forward to the memories of good sends.

Quality

Recently received this bivy. I set it up at home to try it out and it's more roomy than I thought it would be. My entire air sleeping pad fits comfortably. Good space above face. Seams well secured. Only downside so far is strong smell of plastic. Will be airing it out soon to overcome that issue.
