Awesome bivy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome product. We are in the middle of an arctic blast right now and we received this right in time. We received a lot of snow and super freezing temps in a short period of time which caused a lot of people to lose power. This bivy was perfect for keeping us warm when it was absolutely freezing. It is big enough for someone who is 6’5 and can also comfortably hold two smaller people so think 2 kids or a small adult and small child. You can feel the heat radiating back. Love that it has a hood and zipper too because that just makes it much more secure. The green is a great color choice for the outdoors. It’s so easy to wipe off and then fold back up and put into its bag. My dad who was in the army said it’s much nicer than the one he had out in the field lol. Can’t wait to use it on all our adventures
I really love that
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This emergency sleeping bag exceeded all my expectations and has become a must-have for my outdoor adventures. 🏕️ At first, I assumed it would be a simple emergency bag, but it offers so much more. The material is excellent at retaining body heat, making a noticeable difference in cold conditions. Despite its warmth, it’s breathable, so I never feel sweaty or trapped inside. The design also shields against wind and moisture, which adds to the comfort of sleeping outdoors. I especially love the hood feature, which keeps my head warm without requiring extra layers. The bag is roomy enough for comfortable movement but packs down to an impressively compact and lightweight size that barely takes space in my backpack. I’ve used it during hikes and also keep one in my car as a “just in case” essential. It’s one of those items you hope you won’t need often, but when you do, it makes all the difference.
Useful to have
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The SOL Escape Bivvy is great to have on hand for camping or emergency situations especially with today’s unpredictable weather now a days. It’s ultra lightweight, packable, comes in its own storage bag and takes up minimal space for what it can do - keep you warm and dry.
Generally works fine.
I generally camp under Poncho Tarp Shelters. Bivvy Sacks break the wind and help keep my sleeping bag dry while elevated off the ground with a inflatable sleeping pad. I have not had condensation issues. This Bivvy sack ticks most of the boxes except the seams are not taped and sealed, they are stitched. Apparently, this is why I sometimes notice dampness by my feet in rain? I will seal the seams myself. I am skeptical of these reflective heat claims? Maybe for NASA. Overall, worse fine- tape and seal the seams please.
Lightweight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bag this came with for storage is miniature and doesn’t fit so that’s a real bummer for packing this in a backpack. It has a zipper down the side and the hood tightens all around to make a good seal around your head. Very lightweight.
Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shipping/package could be a bit more secure, but that is minimal. Overall the product is great to have on hand. Especially with the crazy abd unpredictable weather recently. Its big enough to fit my husband abd keep him warm.
❤️
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This escape Bivvy with a hood is sooo convenient to have on you especially where I live!! The color matches with the woods too! It is perfect for me as it is way longer than me!
SOL Escape Bivvy (green)
My intent for the SOL Escape Bivvy is in combination with a jungle (summer) sleeping bag beneath a tarp on the ground or in a hammock. I was unsure of fit but went with other reviews. At 6’, 225, 23” at shoulders, with the added jungle bag, this bivvy fit snugly without being overly so, though I could not draw my legs up enough to touch my toes inside the bag and my elbows naturally rested against the sides. It did block the 10+mph wind that I would have certainly felt at 13 degrees. I did not test water resistance but have no doubts. With an older, bulkier, 20-degree bag, I was not able to zip the bivvy, but it was effective for the lower half and sufficient as a footprint for my upper half. This bivy is light, compact, reusable, breathable, less tent than other bivvys, and seems sufficiently durable with reasonable care. If this size works in warmer temperatures as I think it will, I may try the XL size for use with bulkier bags.
Lightweight and compact
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This SOL Escape Bivvy is lightweight, compact, and feels very well made. It keeps heat in surprisingly well, blocks wind and moisture, and is easy to pack in a backpack. A great emergency or camping essential that gives real peace of mind outdoors.
Really nice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is really high quality. I love that it’s light weight and easy to fold/roll. It’s a really high quality brand and I will for sure buy more because we never know in a natural disaster. We need to be ready. I love that it has a hood
