Much improved everyday water bottle

I have had a few Camelbak Eddy bottles and was always disappointed in the constant leaking from the straw lid. I liked the size and how easy it was to grip so I repurposed them to my water bottle for road trip driving (great to drink easily while driving!) or switched the cap out for carrying drinks other than water. This version is much improved. I love the wider finger grab, the better straw set up AND (most of all) it is hard to make it leak while bent over with a pack or if you accidentally drop it. I dropped it on brick from 4 feet and it came out great. The bottle didn’t break and I didn’t have water spraying everywhere. I still wouldn’t trust it inside of a bag with the straw lid but it is a lightweight option to help me stay hydrated. Unlike some of my other bottles it fits in the cupholder in every car and easily fits on gym equipment like treadmills. It also fits in my bike water bottle holder. That makes a big difference. If you’re looking for a bottle to toss inside a bag grab a different top for this one or look elsewhere.

Nice water bottle. But now that I've replaced a total of 8 (that's EIGHT) nipples due to them continuously slipping off, thereby buying the bottle 3 times over, I've decided to never buy any more CamelBak bottles again. I'd advise anyone else to do the same.

Bite valve immediately fell off

I literally bought this today and the bite valve has already fallen off. I was not able to find it, so I can't speak to whether it reattaches easily. I'm pretty bummed about this, though, as I love the look of this bottle.

Works well and durable.

Very durable and easy to clean. This is the third one in a row for my son. We buy a new one for him each year. We just replace it even year not because there’s anything wrong, it’s just a little scratched up from being kicked around by a 5th grader.

Nice Sturdy Water Bottle, Easy to Use

This water bottle seems very sturdy. The cap is hefty, but the bottle feels like a reasonable size in the hand. It does fit in the standard water bottle pouch on both my back packs. It is dishwasher safe which is a major plus. I have not seen it leak at all, but the spout is easy to drink from. You do have to bite down on it to get the water out, as is common for this type of spout, but you don't have to press too hard to get it to work well. While the spout does tuck down to close, it is still exposed and can get some dust.

The bite valve keeps getting lost

This bottle is easy to drink from. Leakage is minimal to none. Being clear shows how much liquid is contained. But the bite valve keeps falling off and the last time it did this was at the theater and I didn't notice until I arrived home. A bite valve seems to cost about $6 to replace making this an expensive investment over time. Camelbak should either come up with a more secure design or provide extra bite valves with the initial purchase.

Versatile bottle, easy to clean

The only negative is that it sweats so much with cold beverages. But I like how easy it is to clean--the straw detaches for easy cleaning. And the nipple folds down to close the valve, doesn't seem to attract dirt. And the nifty hook to attach a carabiner to is nice.

Perfect rowers bottle!

I bought this water bottle as a replacement for one just like it that I lost. As a rower, it is imperative that I not have to unscrew a bottle top to get a quick drink; this CamelBack is perfect. The generous size means enough water to last the full practice.

Tough Water Bottle

This has turned out to be a tough little water bottle. I have inadvertently dropped it from the top bed rail of my pickup onto concrete with just a bit of road rash. I like that this bottle is easy to clean and that the bite valve folds into the cap. I haven't had anything but water in this bottle but you might need to do detailed cleaning on the bite valve if you've had something sugary. It also hardly makes any noise at all while drinking, definitely less so than earlier models. All in all, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a straw-style water bottle.

Great way to Hydrate

I love this bottle! I work in a loft building and use this as my water bottle throughout the day. It keeps my water clean from debris and all other things floating about in the air. Once I feel more comfortable going back to the gym or once it is nicer out, it will be great as a water bottle for a quick hike instead of a water bladder. It took awhile to get used to the straw (I've never had a water bottle with this function) but now it's great. In terms of leaking, I've knocked it over quite a couple of time and it has not leaked at all. Highly recommend!
