In love
Just received this in the mail and it is gorgeous! As others noted, the colour around the snaps is a sage green and not the red advertised in the photos, but I dont mind at all. Also the checkery pattern was not expected but I love it! Cant wait to wear this on alpine hikes and cool summer nights
Great overall piece
I bought 2 of these. First I'm a fan of any type of 1/2 zip pull over piece. Ladies it has an awesome front pocket and thumb holes at the end of the sleeves. The weight of this pullover is spot on. Not too thin not too thick. It is warm with out being stifling. I also like the fact that I can wear a shirt underneath and I don't feel like it's bulky on me. I use them on days when the weather is between 40-70. I have used them out walking and in a cold lab at work. I bought the blue and red. Both are good colors. The red is more on the orange side. The only draw back I've seen is it tends to pick up lint, but that's minor.

I don't often write clothing reviews but...
Bought this to replace a certain cult favorite from Leadville CO that I was really disappointed in. I was absolutely thrilled with it from the first time I put it on - the grid fleece is so breathable and still warm. I tested it at a 5k where it was slightly chilly outside but I was also working up a sweat, and it was so cozy but also didn't trap heat and make me feel like I was hotboxing myself like some fleeces do. The biggest thing that I loved was I don't stink when I sweat in it. I find a lot of synthetic fabrics absolutely REEK when I sweat in them, but this didn't at all. I'm in love and already planning on getting in more colors. This is a must buy!
Super Cozy- Runs Large
I love this fleece but it runs a little large. I'm 5'2", 115lbs, 32" bust and an XS is loose on me. I can usually wear either a small or extra depending on how slim I want the fit and was looking for something more fitted. On the upside I can easily get other layers under this fleece. Aside from fit there are no complaints, this fleece is so cozy! Super soft fabric, nice high neck when buttoned for warmth. It isn't wind proof but more so then other grid fleeces I've had. The arms are on the long end and easy to pull over the hands when using thumb holes. Great fleece overall, I'm happy with it regardless of it running large.
This fleece is so cozy. The fleece is very soft against my skin and the thumb holes in the sleeves gave an added warmth to my hands when necessary. The hoodie style pouch pocket was huge and could fit all my tools and any other little necessities close at all times (it even has a smaller mesh pocket in the inside for smaller things). If you order this I would perhaps recommend sizing down as mine was quite big and long. My only complaint with this is the material attracts dirt and debris like a magnet. Any leaves, seeds, bugs, sticks, etc. get stuck to it and are sometimes hard to remove

Love this Pullover!
Wore the trail mix snap pullover for the first time at the Oregon Coast. Got caught in an unexpected downpour on the way back to our car. This pullover kept me very warm and relatively dry in the pooping rain. One of my favorite parts of this sweater is the small pocket inside the kangaroo pocket. It is the perfect size for my phone.
Great thicker mid-layer
Just received this and used it snowshoeing today, with a thin base layer underneath. It serves really well as a thicker mid-layer that can also be a thin sweater. Today it was 50 in the sun, much more chilly in the shade, and this pullover was perfect for both. I'm 5'2" and it just covered my bum, longer than I expected but actually really nice while in use. My only complaint is the kangaroo pocket should be like 2 inches higher - it has a nice interior pocket for my phone but I can't really use the kanga pocket for anything else as it would hit my legs when I walk.
Not sure about it
I was hoping it was better. I love outdoor research because I find everything fits extra long in the arms. Which I need being so tall. This fleece fits odd, the sleeves aren’t as long as other fleece I’ve bought from here and the seam under the chest area is high, so if your larger chested the seam rises up across and looks very odd. I’m glad I didn’t pay full price for this product and wish I could return, but it’s been worn and washed. Maybe if you average height it would work? It did keep me warm, I work outdoors in rain and it helped keep me cosy though.
Great fit and temp regulation
I found this in an XS at the thrift store and loved it so much I came back to buy another in larger size! I am 5’7 and 145lb. Small chest. The XS fits me (!) and I use it as a ski mid layer. It works better than my other mid layer grid fleeces and the sleeves are not too tight like in many other gorp brands! I bought a medium (which is TTS for me) and I’ll either give the XS to mum or keep as a camping layer for summer when I don’t have multiple baselayers. The chest is tightish on me in XS, but that works under a ski jacket. I hope the Medium is perfect.
My "Go to" Top for Winter
The women's Trail Mix Snap Pullover is soft, warm, and cozy, and I like the overall length! I've purchased both the snap and the cowl versions in more than one color, both for myself and for gifts, and find them perfect for every day wear. The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars vs. 5 is because the fit is a bit awkward, as others have mentioned--a comfortable fit at the hips may require sizing up, which makes it a bit baggy across the back and arms, and makes the arms very long (I'm 5'4"); not a deal breaker, but please consider this for future colors!
