Designed for resort skiing...

5'0, 110 lbs, -1 ape index, short torso, athletic build I bought these to replace my base layer hoodies for ski touring, but this hoodie seems to be for cold ski resort days. It is a midweight base layer, and I think it would be best in situations where you felt like you needed to wear a thin base layer and a thin fleece jacket at the same time, all day, and feel like a pickle wrapped tightly in seranwrap. Other than the arms being a little too tight (I am afraid to continue doing my arm workouts if I want to keep this shirt), it has some other perks. These perks are: the sleeves actually fit over watches, the balaclava stays on your face snuggly even without the hood, it is actually very warm.

This will be the perfect ski baselayer

I bought this for visibility while running, but I think it will also be the perfect ski baselayer because of the gaiter/face mask and ponytail slot in the back. It's super warm but also lightweight, and the Sulfur color is gorgeous! I have really broad shoulders so I debated sizing up to a M or a L but ended up deciding on the M, and I'm happy with my choice. Yes, it's a fitted top but it's supposed to be. It hugs the top half with a little bit more of a flowy (but not baggy) fit at the bottom. The arms are long with thumbholes to help hold them in place. This is high quality, and they need to restock all the colors!

weird fit

super tight, like a baselayer without much stretch, and weirdly long arms that are also tight. for reference i'm normally a women's small in most tops: 5'4", 34A bust, about 140 pounds, athletic build. This is tiiiiight and hard to get on. It'll work well in my "regular" size as a ski baselayer under my shell, but if you want this for running or don't want the super tight look, i'd size up. you'll have to roll the sleeves though.

should have returned

Tight and unflattering fit. I usually wear M or L on top - this is an L and feels restrictive even when worn on its own. I had hoped this would function as a mid-layer, but in practice it is more of a base layer. Biggest pro is the head and face coverage - great for cold weather sleeping. Not worth the weight for backpacking, but may keep around for cold weather car camping.

A Staple!

Im 5'8 145 lbs, ordered medium. I'm broad shouldered with muscular arms and I did not have any issues with the arms being too tight like a few other reviewers mentioned. This fits perfectly well over a tank top, and I layer a windbreaker over top. I will be using this often for chilly adventures and this will also be good to sleep in when camping on chilly nights.

Pretty snug for a medium. It does say "slim fit" in the description. I was kind of expecting it to be a midlayer but will definitely only fit as a base layer. The other item I purchased in a medium from here was a bit big on me. Wish I would have sized up! Overall it seems like a really nice product however it's a bit constricting because of the size.

Consider Sizing Up

This top is really cute but oh my, when they say the fit is 'trim'... it is really trim! I ordered this in a size small (I'm 5'10" 140 lbs) and the arms are like Chinese finger traps. I'm usually a size small in OR tops (I regularly wear and love my small Trail Mix cowl pullover) but will be exchanging this one for a medium.

Great fit

Like some other comments have identified, this is a tighter fit so size up from your typical OR size. I am a 32B, 5'7", and 118 LBS and I got the size S and it fits perfectly. I wear this to go running and hiking, and I can fit a wool base layer underneath on very cold days. Perfect addition to my outdoor apparel.

Great hoodie

It's pretty tight but I used it as a base layer so that was fine just uncomfortable to get on at first. Hood and gator both came all the way across the face and stayed. It was a perfect addition to my base layers. I don't like balaclavas or buffs because I still feel a breeze on the back of my neck

Feature Rich

My wife had jaw surgery so her face is vulnerable to the cold and not only does the hoodies pony tail hole keep her hair out of her face but the built in neck and face protection has kept her comfortable on her runs. It has quickly become her go to running hoodie.
