Great Bike for a Good Price
I am enjoying riding this bike. It’s well constructed and worth the price. I love the fact that the front fork suspension can be locked when you’re riding on a flat surface and unlocked when the trail gets bumpy. It uses Shimano components. Two drawbacks is that 1) the paint seems a little fragile - I got a chip in the paint after only the third ride, and it was a short ride on paved road. 2) the seat isn’t as comfortable as I’d like, so I swapped it out. Others might find the seat fine, so I’m not dinging the bike for the seat.
All purpose fun!
I got the bike in September 2023 and have put 1000 miles on it in that time. Longest ride was 100KM century ride and it has been perfect. The fork lock is good for the flats when I try and beat my time on segments. The censor links w/out issue to my Garmin bike computer and w/ my Strava account. I took the bike in on 1/5/204- I'm 240lbs and there were not issues, outside of bald tiers which are being replaced. No issues w/ shifting, chain, breaks and bottom bracket are all perfect. For all purpose riding, on easy off road trails or paved streets/greenways it is great. Cant wait to take it touring this upcoming summer.
Good but not great!
I’m getting back into biking and wanted to get a one bike does it all bike. I didn’t expect it to be a great mountain bike at all but I don’t think I’d take it on the most basic trails. It’s fine on gravel to a point but I think it’s really just going to end up being a pavement bike so with that said, front shocks are kind of useless and added weight. I do like the hub sensor that bluetooths to the Cannondale app on my phone. Problem is it drains my battery (IPhone 12) so fast I really can only go about 20 miles using it unless I bring a charger. Overall it a good bike to ride but I might have gone a different route if I had to do it over.
Great Hybrid mountain bike
The bike is a Cannondale so it is a well made hybrid mountain bike, I bought a Cx-4 fir my wife, I like it’s gearing better 21 speeds vs 16 speeds, the seat is not very comfortable and no sprocket guard but it does have the connect app so you can follow your ride through the app that connect to the bike, brakes are great and the gear shifting works great!! Overall a great hybrid bike, I use the bike slight off-road but mostly street riding
thumbs up from an avid biker
I was using a similar hybrid bike(specialized Sirrus elite) for over a decade, the difference is very significant. Ride is much smoother, pedaling power is much better, geometry I think is much more comfortable, disc breaks are awesome, and over all just a better bike. The longest ride I’ve done is 20 miles, hoping to put in more this summer. So far components are not failing, compared to my sirrus after the first year. Only drawback is the Bluetooth integration to my phone as a speedometer. This is not realistic if you are taking a long bike ride. My phone battery dies after a few hours. I will start using a low tech computer. This bike is worth the money.
Perfect for the price
I'm extremely happy with this one. This is my first cannondale (and hybrid) bike and I couldn't be happier. It's minimalistic yet very functional. All the components are good quality so it gives you a lot of confidence when you're riding. Hydraulic brakes are a huge plus. The only "bad" thing for me were the handlebar grips. They feel cheap and rubbery so I change them for something better, but that's just me. I love the fact that it doesn't look "flashy" so you can perfectly blend in while still riding on a high quality bike.
Great bike
Great bike. Good gear range. Comfortable ride. I managed to install pdw fenders, but I’d recommend getting an expert to do that.
This is a great bike.
Great bike. Using it for commuting. Still trying to find cages that fit with the pedals though.
Take the bikes off website if not available anyw
Very disappointed in REI. Wasted hours comparing hybrid bikes only to find out that a Cannondale CX3 is not available to ship and not available in ANY store. Do better.
Great value--Superb all-around hybrid
Light and well made bike. Good for road and light trail. Exactly what a hybrid should be. Brakes are precise, and the gears are surprisingly solid for a low to mid range offering. adjustable fork stiffness is nice. Integration with SP Connect holder is handy and works perfectly with phone.
