Heat from 5v!!!

It actually works. I used it with my power bank it draws about 9 watts and it’s not hot but a comfy slight warm. Enough for car camping on the chilly nights when I don’t want to kill my power bank. Would buy again and would recommend.

Outstanding Comfort on Cold Nights

I purchased this pad At REI and use it above the air pad at night. I initially used it on the high setting and found that it gets too hot. I then tried it at the "Blue" setting which keeps the pad a 80 degrees all night long and uses 7 watts on my battery pack. This heater is exactly what I needed for winter camping to fend off the chill. Mind you, I still wear a beanie on my head, but now I am sleeping all night long without getting cold and having to turn on the Mr. Buddy heater.

Absolutely the BEST heater pad for mobile camping!

Absolutely the best full featured heating pad I have come across. I use this pad in my minivan camper. I have placed it between the REI 3.5 air pad and my 650 down comforter. The pad has two different power supply options, the 12V supply (optional) and a 5V USB supply. The 12V option can be set to provide 36 watts of power to heat the pad up to toasty temp for 15 minutes to warm up your sleeping area prior to bed and before getting up in the morning. I personally use the "Low Power" setting (Blue) which supplies 7 watts throughout the night to keep the pad at a comfortable 80 degrees. The 2 heating areas (one at the feet and one at the shoulders) maintain a gentle heat that keeps me cozy all night long for a great nights sleep. There are many nights when the temperature has dropped to 20 degrees F in my minivan, yet I sleep well as long as I have the required beanie on my head. Because the pad only draws 7 watts in the "Blue" mode, I can use it with my portable battery pack and not even worry about draining the battery. With all said, this pad has proven so well that I recently purchased another "just in case" or to share with another camper.

Not as described at all

Bought this hoping it really would increase the temperature for cold weather camping! Plugged it into a power bank first. Had it plugged in for 45 minutes and never got warm. Moved to the car and had it plugged in there. Website says heat in 2 minutes, 15 minutes later still nothing! Needless to say we took it back.
