It’s good enough I bought a 2nd, but....
I bought one, and liked the IDEA, but it’s pockets aren’t as durable as the material used on the kanken pack itself. It is convenient for theme park trips and just general out & about. I bought a 2nd since I have 2 packs, wish it was more durable tho. Catch it on a sale!
Nice addition, far from perfect.
It's a nice addition to the Kånken, but I'd have preferred a stiffer material overall. While getting the job done, the material of which the pockets are made is flimsy. The very top compartment, where I'd keep my iPad, should be easier to access (adding an elastic band to the pocket might solve the issue).
Perfec
Perfect in my backpack, the Kragen does not have as many organizer sections, but this filled the void.
Adds functionality
I was carrying a small bag to hold pens and stuff. This brings functionality--space for a couple of pens, charging cables, and what not. It's functionality built into most backpacks, but the Kanken being bare bones.... It's not quite as handy as having up-front small pockets. If your Kanken is fully packed you'll have to move stuff out to access these pockets. And it's way to expensive, almost half the cost of the bag. Oh well, if you want a Kanken for style, and want to make it more functional, this is a good addition.
Pockets
Purchased the Navy to go with my no.2 g1000 kanken and the blues aren’t perfectly matching (just in case you are meticulous) but its perfect for what I need and the seat pad is still accessible with this installed
Excellent addition to the fantastic Kanken
This addition is a perfect addition to my bag. I went for the lighter yellow colour as my bag is olive green. Well made, ideal sized zip pockets. Very pleased with it.
Duffel bag
Got my grandson, the duffel bag for an overnight bag to grandmas house or friends. Joins the regular backpack and the mini backpack. We ❤️ all of these products.
Excellent organization tool.
Love this organizer. It gives my bag better structure and now I don't have a bunch of loose items to soft through.
Great
This is a lifesaver. Now I have my kanken all organized.
Kanken Organiser
Pro - Good got it in the matching colour as my 15” padded laptop bag - fog (which is a khaki cement warm grey) I love this colour because it’s very neutral. Con - the pocket material on the organiser is thinner than the bag material and the pockets are quite shallow. Pro - the pockets are spaced top and bottom on the board Pro - the organiser is two pieces of flexible tough plastic covered in the matching material, edged with piping this reduces friction / tears / adds strength to the organiser. Pro - the plastic board of the organiser adds much needed rigidity to the Kanken bag, without this any heavy items I found slump to the bottom and rest on the base of your spin. The boards also help to spread the weight of your bag across your back. I feel the bags need to come with more back Support and supplying this type of board with the seat pad would be the answer. Con - the organiser in the seat pocket if my 15” laptop Kanken sits in a way that makes it difficult to add a Hydra flask 16oz into one bottle holder prior to this I had no problem with getting one flask in. I have discovered that this is because the Organiser is about 2cm wider than the back of my Kanken back pack so eats into the side panel part of the bag, thus leaving less space to push in water bottle. One in each side was a little tricky only if my bag was quite full, now getting two hydra flasks in (one in each bottle holder) is extremely hard. I carry two flasks with me commuting - one for water and a hydra coffee flask. I have had to move the seat pad into the laptop compartment to try and relieve this a little which it has.
